Does anyone else have an interest in myrmecology? I've been fascinated by ants for many years, and have started to keep a colony. I've also started studying wider aspects of biology, given how crucial ants have been in the co-evolution of other species, such as trees and other insects. They have do...

In the UK, the Five Guys chain is called 'The gentleman's quintet'. This is because the earl of Shrewsbury owns over 50% of the land on which the restaurants are built, and he does not allow the use of the word 'guy' on any of his properties, as he considers it to be very vulgar.

So if you concede that marriage (or something like it) is the ultimate goal of any sort of "dating", I mean what's the point of being in a relationship if your ultimate plan is to break up? I mean people do break up but they don't feel good about it. I wonder whether this paragraph is doin...

If you like ants, you surely know the writings of E.O. Wilson - the world’s expert on myrmecology. This great man passed away just this last holiday season. I am particularly fascinated by leaf-cutting ants. Also the ants that cultivate, as in actually farm and weed, fungal colonies underground. Th...

I had an interesting myrmecology experience once. Moms kitchen had become infested with not one, but two, different species of ants at the same time. One large, and one small. Finally got an exterminator to get rid of them. But during the time we tried to deal with ourself both species could be see...

Most ants communicate by laying down chemical trails, so probably the most efficient solution, if you can't find the source of where they're coming from, would be to clean the place where you observe them to walk. Killing them would often encourage others, as workers will generally have time to lay ...

Welcome to WP! And if you are on a waiting list then perhaps you are in the UK like Mountain Goat? Apparently the waiting lists for Adult Autism Assessments are long in the UK. Yes. Mental health provision in the UK seems to have a lower priority than other forms of healthcare, particularly since c...

Hello.

I'm currently on a waiting list for an autism diagnosis. I'm looking to make friends, as my social connectedness is low. I'm interesting in literature, philosophy, entomology, and gaming, amongst other things.

That's all for now.
