I don't think you're going to get your money back. It sucks, but some people are like that :(. t's impossible to tell in advance. There's a slim chance that she may be making an honest mistake too. Don't pay her though, and don't ever lend her money again. Maybe her 'memory' would have been better i...

Turn up on time, be pleasant.. it's hard to say exactly what to do as I'm not sure what field you work in, but if you're hard working and do what you say you'll do (and say no if you know you won't be able to), then you can't go too far wrong.

Right now, all I wanted to do was rant and get everything off my chest without him overhearing it. Good idea :) I came on here once and ranted about my family In amongst the 'yeah, they are horrible' comments, I got a few responses basically telling me how lucky I was. Whilst they didn't make me fe...

I've already disclosed my disability with AS to my department when I first wrote my rationale letter upon applying to my program several years ago. It doesn't matter anymore. Due to constraints of time, I'll most likely to accept their alternative offer, but that will NOT stop me from fighting thei...

I did. I wrote that down in the original student complaint form at school, when I submitted my student complaint to the administration. You should have asked for this accomodation before you started your internship, not afterwards when making a complaint. It's too late then. Jason. At the time of t...

As complaints go, I've heard far worse! At least you didn't swear or single out any particular individual, so it's easier for people to brush it off as just frustration. You have a few very good reasons for being close to burn-out, so I'm sure people will be understanding if you don't do it regulari...

If your partner or someone you are interested in tried to commit suicide, would it be a deal breaker for you? I don't think you should ever remain in a relationship you are unhappy with. I think for me it would depend entirely on the context. If they did it in an attempt to get their own way in an ...

When I get angry I have to be alone or I am gonna hurt some one. I wouldn't hurt anyone, but yeah, I really find I need to be alone when I'm stressed/angry. Yes, I think it's very similar to an acute stress response (shock) from physical injury Yeah, it does seem similar; the hurt only starts after...

Why get angry when you can get revenge!

I don't know. I think it's different when it's someone you love(d). I don't feel like revenge; it's a different kind of anger; like love and hate hate in such equal measures that you just feel... nothing.

Greetings all, I am a third year computer science major, and I have seen so much cheating nowadays. It is actually making me very concerned. My peers who cheat, who I know cheat, constantly get A+'s on their assignments while I struggle to get B+'s and A-'s. Are you sure they're actually cheating? ...

Ever get so angry you just feel numb?

Like, such a massive betrayal of trust that it actually manages to shut out the constant worry and second guessing that seems to accompany any other social interaction.. and instead it's just a calmness..

Please don't feel bad; firstly, good grades don't always equate to intelligence. Even amongst the 'top', there is bitter competition and people who struggle despite appearances; grades are only a small part of being able to do your job, and often more a sign of hard work than some underlying genius ...

When I had my assessment, I told the psychiatrist that I was very embarrassed about my obsession and that she was the only person I had ever told. I assumed she would keep this information to herself and wouldn't feel the need to explicitly mention it in the report ... but I was wrong. "She told me...

My advice would be to do research with someone else too- even if you have great ideas, if you're not used to research, it's very easy to get lost or sidetracked down irrelevant paths the first time (speaking from experience!). If you can tag along on someone else's project to begin with, I'd advise ...
