I am a Certified Nursing assistant. So I get hired pretty easily most the time. I just am not able to handle the social pressures very well. People are mean to me, they abuse me verbally, and take advantage of me all the time. I either get mean back, and get in trouble, or I just find another job as...

That is the catch 22. If I don't get the help, I lose my job. If I get the help, I am fine and dependent. I am stuck in the endless loophole that really sucks. And you cannot get on disability because in order to do that, you have to go unemployed while you wait for the disability check. All I want ...

Does anyone know if there is a tax deduction for having Aspergers. I would like to use the money to pay down my $3000 deductable so I can see a psychologist. I cannot seem to find it. It seems there is for severe or total disability. But I am wondering if you can get one toward a medical deductable ...

It is all in how it is done. I am against forcing people to buy insurance because insurance doesn't mean you get health care, it just means you pay some company some money every month. It is unfair to force people to pay for something they cannot afford, don't need, or is entirely useless. But worst...

I live in Finland now but for a while I inhabited a flat in northern Manhattan. Finland is wonderfully quiet and peaceful but northern Manhattan has a high percentage of Latinos and the loud music and very noisy parties they had until 4am drove me nuts and there was nothing I could do. Personally I...

Well, if you met a Mexican who was polite and tidy, would you be OK with them? There's a difference between not liking all people of a race, and not liking the ones you've met . Being an aspie, a lot of stereotypes stop applying. I know perfectly well that I'm not likely to be fond of somebody who ...

It is all about fear, insecurity, and the need to feel superior morally, mentally, and physicially. Sex in general is an area of insecurity for men. Men need to feel higher than others. Men are insecure, they feel their masculinity is threatened if they are attracted to another man, so they take it ...

Well, for the most part, you are perfectly entitled to your opinions in the matter. I'm sure you have the sensibility to remember that not all Mexican immigrants are bad. But there's nothing wrong with being angry about an imported culture replacing your nation's own, especially if the culture is b...

I know I'll probably be told at some point that only I know whether I'm bi, gay or straight but I'm really not so sure myself. So I started masturbating just before I turned 8, and I think I was attracted to both sexes equally initially but then from my pre-teens up till a couple of years ago, I wo...

I am afraid I am becoming a racist, or maybe already be one but am not sure. For the record, I am gay, and I have fought a lot for civil rights in college back in the 1990s. I also have had friends that are of all different races. However, I have been becoming very disgruntaled by many people in thi...

I am recently married to a wonderful man in his fifties, whom I first met when we were both in middle school many years ago. From talking to psychologists, parents of AS children, and my own memories of him as a child...I am pretty certain he has Asperger's. But, I am not certain if he is aware of ...

Tantybi, Yes, that would be great to find out what the Dr. says about her quote. I am thinking about writting a letter, but I get so upset. And it doesn't seem to matter, as the damage has been done. It is sitting by every checkout line at Wal-Mart that sells the Sunday paper all week long. Thousand...

I don't blame states for ignorance. I blame leaders, and members of the free press to oppress. You can thank FAAAS and Autism Squeaks and similar hate groups for the perpetual promotion and perpetuation of this BS stereotype. And no offense, but southern and western states seem to be especially pron...

Thank you Tantybi! You are obviously a very intelligent woman, and very well read. Sadly, this reporter didn't seem to bright, so much of what you wrote might be over his head. It would be great is the good Doctor refuted the context in which she was quoted. Please keep us informed! I sent this emai...
