Oh, I love talking about this. (overlong post) I just have grapheme-color and a bit of sound -> touch* and color synesthesia. Usually I just associate instead of projecting, but rarely I project right into my normal field of vision (more common when I'm upset and in memories). Listening to music in ...

Anyway, a private regulatory system could certainly be possible, but who would run such? Microsoft, Verizon, Google? Should such companies be allowed to self-regulate without sort of public oversight? (That hasn't always worked out you know) Generally internet service providers will only limit band...

Oh yes I feel like ranting... I'll make a list with bolded sections! Sorry, it's a bit long. 0-10 - I was really odd and made few friends, though I didn't notice or mind as much at the time - really overprotective parents (we didn't live in a bad neighborhood, but I couldn't go outside at all withou...

Five days late, but... a police surveillance helicopter , monitoring infrared emissions from residential areas? I knew the British government is even more crazy about open domestic surveillance than the US, but this is usually the stuff of conspiracy theories! And guinea pigs are so cute. I lo...

Also not trying to start another thread, but... Well I did not really want to start another thread as this is just another odd thing I don't understand but I've been needing to vent about it for a few hours now. So today I was hanging out at my friends house like usual and I went down to my moms hou...

My local paper hadn't reported on this, and it caught me completely by surprise. I know very little about Tunisia, except that it is known to be especially repressive toward speech and journalists, and like many North African countries, has very high youth unemployment (even for university graduates...

Orbital's good. :)
I'm very happy right now, so it's movement 3B of György Ligeti's piano concerto. Mesmerizing, ooh.. (any modern classical when I'm happy)

I've only experienced shades of what you describe as a part of depression (and especially from isolation), but it sounds like it fits neatly within depersonalization disorder. It causes brain fog and the feeling that you're watching yourself from outside. It can also cause you to blank out when you'...

Thank you fellow WP-ers! :D I'm a teenager and I hate being dismissed without consideration because of my age. (I also get this from other people that are my age: I look much younger than them.) I know my brain is physically different as a teenager with an ASD. I would definitely consider myself imm...

I've only been bullied a few times, which must be pretty unusual. My problem is that I seem to attract creepy people looking to intimidate me, but they don't usually mess with me for any length of time; one exception is a student two grades below me aspiring for maximum macho-ness who sexually haras...

Heh, very true auntblabby. I live in Houston and the summer heat/humidity combination is hard to tolerate. I might appreciate it if it didn't last most of the year! Even given my location, I've felt depressed during two winters now. (That is, the actual gray cold periods here.. One day temperatures ...

Agalloch - Into the Painted Grey

Their new album (this) is pretty interesting and different from their previous output (more black metal than before). I think this song is underrated; people seem to gush over Black Lake Nidstrång mostly, not that it isn't good or better. It's a real emotional trip.
