I found this old topic back... and look what we have now. Two new Star Trek series. Discovery and a 'proper' one called The Orville. Unfortunately none of the previous good ideas that were posted here. Discovery really ticked me off at the start, it got better after a few episodes, but I am still no...

In the past I would have said no, eating was important to me. But nowadays it can bore me a bit, even if there is new stuff to eat. Starving is not an option however, I just eat something 'mechanically'.

On the other side, eating can give me great joy.

Welkom hier...

Here in NL it is a problem with many stores and shops. They pay peanuts, hire monkeys and they cannot differentiate themselves from other stores. A lot of these common stores go bankrupt or are closed. There are some shops that are more expensive and have better personnel, you get better help there....

Maybe a certain theory can help you a bit? It is Experiental learning by David Kolb That says to learn something you have to do 4 steps: - observe and reflect (watch somebody speak spanish) - theorize (if I use a sentence like this... or if I use this word I can get the message across) - experiment ...

The tasks take energy. But I maintain a certain rhythm for my tasks. For example vacuuming on fridays or Saterdays, bathroom cleaning on saturday or sunday, every two weeks cleaning the floor, etc. When I deviate from that rhythm it becomes much more difficult. I also use an advanced tasklist to kee...

She visited me in the hospital when I was in labor, which I was very touched by. I moved to a different city and we sort of corresponded for a while, but then I crashed and lost track of my life for a few years. I'd like to contact her again but I feel so badly that I neglected her for so long. I c...

Maybe you should not compare your friendship to the kind of friendship other people have. You should focus on your good qualities as a friend. For example beeing there when there is a certain need or something else. Real friendship is not on the frequency of visits. But the way you can be there for ...

Mentioning autism can be difficult and can have unexpected consequences. It can also be used to 'dump' you sooner. Since your autism seems 'light' (terrible expression, I know) it will probably be difficult to get a special status and help for that and protection from the law will be minimal. Howeve...

Hoi Laura, welkom hier. Voor de Nederlandstaligen is er ook een topic hier op WP . To continue with the subject of the discussion (in English): As you said yourself, autism is on a spectrum. You can have certain symptoms or behaviours linked with autism, but it does not have to be 'complete autism' ...

That's because people actually think in pictures. ... But the jokes on the nts because they think in pictures too, while nts are loving words and literature an autistic person comes in and says how things really are. I use a lot of pictures in my head, but they are different from the ones I see use...

Welcome on Wrongplanet. If you want you can introduce yourself on the subforum 'Getting to know each other'. About your question: It depends on the person. Sometimes a pessimistic look on things make it easier to distance yourself from your work and certain situations. That way you could cope better...
