I notice two things: 1. The definition of 'Scandinavian' is being progressively expanded to include Celts, Germanic peoples, etc. 2. There is no mention of any actual evidence that AS is more prevalent in one or more ethnic groups - there is a confusion between ethnicity and culture, so that becaus... |

The problem I see with your proposal (that Asperger's originated in Scandinavia) is that it relies on a Lamarkian theory of evolution, i.e., that behaviors can be passed on through evolution. Lamarkianism was successfully challenged by Darwin. If you have in mind Scandinavian's who live in Scandana... |

As an older person with AS, this kind of racial profiling reminds me of what the Nazi's were thinking and doing, so you all need to think twice about somehow equating the "Nordics" with AS, and possibly with a "special" race of people. Since the current world of engineers, computer programmers, etc... |

That could just be lack of sunlight. Perhaps you might want to think about light therapy and/or vitamin D3? This is a general comment for anyone who gets "lazy" during the winter months. |

Seriously though, why would you feel the need to say anything? Saying "Bless you" is just a throwback to the Dark Ages when people thought demons caused disease. When people said "Bless you" they were literally blessing you in order to drive the demons out. I think we know better now. It's just an o... |

There was no such thing as social services until the last century or so. For a few hundred years before that there were spotty areas that charities could cover, but not well. For most of history, you worked or you didn't eat. Throughout most of human history, especially pre-Industrial history, peop... |
