Windows 7 is what Windows should have been for countless years. I would only advise against it if your computer happens to be very, very slow. Like barely running XP slow.

Hey, I've been struggling with something literally all day, and I believe the key lies in the answer to this question: Given a six-sided die and three attempts, what is the probability of getting a 2 or 1 on at least two tries? An even simpler example in case I'm not illustrating this well enough: G...

@Ahhsumleeglohreeuss: You seem to want to define the closest approximation of a perfect human mind. You're brave. And also wasting your time. I don't understand your issue at all. "Perfect human mind"? A mind which is able to remain entirely consistent. Part of having the flawed brainmatter we all ...

...in supporting the poor and destitute? Why do many countries have more mobility than the US? Or why does the US have such a high rate in distributing wealth to the uber rich and such a low rate of redistributing wealth to the poor? Just would like to hear your thoughts on the matter. We are not b...

Find anything distressing about this? http://apnews.myway.com/article/20100416/D9F4EPUO0.html My response: "No, Mr. Clinton, it's a slippery slope from demonizing political dissenters to tyranny--once which would deserve dethroning, might I add. Yes, I am armed. Yes, I support secession. But casting...

The answer's really quite simple: If you hold a false belief about reality, then you are delusional. One of the goals of sentient life, from the emergence of intellect as a child onto death, is to eliminate the greatest amount of delusions possible. As far as the provable\disprovable thing, I reject...

The Presentation of Self in Everyday Life, by Erving Goffman. It's given me a lot of insight into how the social performances are played out, and how NT's view the world, with or without their knowledge. A warning: The book is highly intellectualized (perfect for many Aspies), requiring a mastery of...

Although I would have preferred the nationalistic message of letting down your country to be omitted, I was pleased with the speech. And I'm not an Obama fanboi.

5. Perhaps you can solve the male/female ratio by making it a combination commune / cult. The cult members would be NT females who are indoctrinated to worship aspies. Then you solve the male/female ratio. Plus, you can seek status as a religion. So many things in the Bible are now viewed as metaph...

If this came from any other forum, I'd say it would be hate on Aspies.

Whoever wrote that is childish and terribly immature, not to mention self-absorbed and ignorant.

If you act like a victim, you'll be treated like one. If you act strong, you'll be treated like you're strong. Confidence, confidence, confidence and assertiveness. It's a tough skill to learn, and I'm in no way a master of the art, but people will treat you better and respect you more if you learn ...

Happens to me all the time. I'm no doctor, but I agree with Dr. Strangelove up there. It has to do with the brand of strange boredom we get in social situations, and a kind of strange yawn that sometimes follows. You can get rid of this by getting involved in a good conversation that interests you. ...

This one sentence has helped me enormously:

"What you think of me is none of my business. "
