With a few exceptions (Ivy League schools and the like), a business degree is basically a party degree. It's no coincidence that business majors have no classes on Fridays and Thursday nights are called "Thirsty Thursdays" at bars in most places.

This thread reminds me of all the job openings I've seen over the years that list themselves as "entry level" yet require 2-5 years of work experience in the specific field on top of you degree. Methinks HR folks have lost sight of the meaning of "entry level".

An engineering job in Japan where i would go to Akihabara on the weekends! That or ghost busting (if it existed) in my home town. There was one job I was very sad I didn't get a few years ago simply because I had to drop Japanese as my minor due to scheduling conflicts with my major courses and was...

I've heard of a some strange questions big companies ask you nowadays too. One I've heard of from HP's process of hiring engineers is "How many barber shops are there in the US?" I would make a guess with the possibility of a wide margin of error. In my town with a population of 30,000, I know ther...

Next question: "No matter how many times you toggle the power switch, the lamp still will not illuminate. The circuit consists of the power source, the switch, the lamp, and a circuit breaker - all wired in series. What are the possible problems?" Most say, "A burned-out lamp" . Some included a fau...

I agree that luthor is a great villain for Bruce Wayne. I am not sure about Luthor as a villain for Batman specifically. Agreed. The reason behind Lex Luthor being a rival to Superman is because he hates Superman for taking the limelight away from him when he feels that he should be the one the wor...

Oh probably being subjected to a little game called "Bowling for fags", which consisted of the jocks cornering my in the gym and pummeling me with basketballs while the coach went momentarily deaf and blind. I'm not even gay, but hey, it was Wyoming, I loved science and hated football, thus I was a ...

I'm somewhat the opposite. I have tinnitus and hyper-sensitive hearing (can hear into the dog-whistle range).

The two I'd suggest are Intro to Microbiology and a History of Science class if that's an option. I took the History of Medicine class at OSU about 5 years ago, and it's still to this day my favorite class I've taken.

I won't celebrate his death, but I won't refrain from calling him a dumbass and I certainly won't mourn his death. Over twice the legal limit BAC and crashed between 132-140mph? Yeah, that's nothing short of being an idiot (though to be fair, that was what he did for a living). I'll only celebrate h...

My voice an intelligence/sense of humor. I sound something like Chris Lee meets Mr Movie Phone, though with effort I can sound more like Lee (typically when I'm hitting on someone). I've had gals remember me by name because of my voice alone when it was six months since I last saw them, when I only ...

Is it worth paying extra to see in 3d...? Because I read in a critic review it was not made to be watched 3d; it was added after. But did not go on to say if that it was worth watching in 3d overall or not It was decent in 3D, nothing on Avatar, but certainly a lot better than previous post-product...

The HR lady did love me, but even if I manage to get offered this job, I'm not going to take it because: 1. The interviewer would be my direct supervisor and I don't think I could handle working for him. 2. Despite what I was told beforehand, the job has almost no work with polymers, and working wit...
