Men don't have to be muscular, thin, fat or have any other body shape unless they want to. To be "attractive" I think the most important thing is to be yourself without making any apologies. |

Best of luck. I hope "the shed" actually turns out to be a small house that provides you with decent living conditions. I think you as soon as possible should ask her to elaborate what kind of "shed" she is refering to. |

I use email socially. I usually reply within an hour or at the very least the same day. When someone doesn't reply the same day on my emails I start to think that maybe they got irritated by something I wrote. |

Many autistic people have the "No BS. No lies. Just getting the job done"-attitude. I find that very appealing. |

For NT in general it's a top priority to be accepted by the group. If they have to choose between to do the right thing or go with the group they choose to go against their own belief. Besides that, a psychologist once explaned my autistic personality to be on the opposite side of the spectrum from ... |

I find phrases like "Everything's fine?" or "How are you?" extremely hard not to answear like genuine questions. I know it's just an opening line and not a question and the right thing is to say "Fine! And everything is fine with you?" Problem is I get a strong negative... |

When someone explains how autism presents in girls/women it makes me think it is in fact how it presents in late diagnosed people regardless of sex. That "typical" trainspotting, unemphatic example of a male autistic that can't see the forest for all the trees and with a big meticulously o... |

For many years I felt uncomfortable going to a gym and tried to instead exercise at home. I didn't get much results from that. Then I decided to buy a membership card to a gym. I started to work out 4 times a week - to get my money's worth. For the first 6 months I had a lot of social anxiety about ... |

science is finally recognizing that autism can not be trained out of us, that it is neurological in nature and not behavioral. I hope that soon DSM guidelines will be updated to stop the nonsense about "autistic people don't look you in the eye" and the things about social struggles, comm... |

BillyTree it sounds like you are doing a massive effort in getting back to near normal. Exercise and sleep are really important in recovery and you are utilizing these tools well. Thank you! Yes. there`s zero biological evidence that autism and Asperger's are the same causes. I thought Asperger's was a sub category of autism. Something to distinguish autistic people with average or higher intelligence and high social skills from people with classic autism and intellectual disabilities. Like... |

I did an early version of this test a couple of years ago and got a similar neurotypical result. On-line tests and personality quizzes usually don't work for me. I view questi... |
