If you have the right to fire him, threaten him with his job. Nothing brings an employee into line quite like making them earn their place. He obviously doesn't know the saying "Don't bite the hand that feeds you". Threaten to retract the hand. Though you also run the risk of him saying "Fine, if y...

This isn't about oil or energy shortages. This is about CO2 emissions and global warning. I agree that we are in no immidiate danger from energy shortages, but I believe our co2 emissions are damaging the global climate.

The problem is...The settlement was undersized to begin with. The truck companies insurance should have recouped medical expences as well as the extra funding, however the family lawyer made a MISTAKE. To put it in perspective, if I hit you with a car, your medical insurance would pay for your treat...

I have been a manager at a new store for a few weeks and I've already come to a conflict point. There is one person in my store that always addresses me in a condescending tone. I have been trying to ignore it and show my respect for the work that he does(he's very good at his job) hoping that it wo...

I told my new boss at the bucks about my aspergers yesterday. She went to a scary-serious tone, and explained that I was replacing someone who also had AS. Then she listed off the problems they had with her. I admitted that many of them seemed possible, but I knew how to prevent these problems. I go...

A lot of doctors in the US didn't know much of anything about AS until the last few years. I was diagnosed ADHD as a kid, and my doctor knew it wasn't quite right, but the ritalin helped me. He never understood the small clues, like hypersensitivity, lack of eye-contact, and stimming. When my mom to...

It never occured to me that all people didn't do this. I speak mostly in borrowed phrases. I like a lot of futurama, with old country song lyrics, and a few I pick up from friends and coworkers. I just assumed that's how everyone talked though.

It takes me a lot of practice in any social setting to be confidant, but when I get there, I'm GOOD. Right now at sbux, I rock the house!! ! I am funny, endearing, and well liked by coworkers and customers. I have a "character" to play. I can get on stage with my band, and I can be a great entertain...

My ex gf is one. She watched me go through a full on melt down, and she didn't get scared, she just gave me a rubber band, and let me play with it until I calmed down. She is so intuitive about dealing with me, as well as other people on the spectrum. She is a special education teacher who speciali...

Am I alone in thinking the phone is the lowest form of business communication? I have a guy I'm doing some music with, and he thinks I'm the biggest flake in town, because HE hasn't gotten me a playlist. Not even a prelim gotta play set. I can LEARN ANY DAMN SONG FROM THE RECORD, why is he not takin...

I haven't ridden much in the past 5 years, prior to that I was a riding instructor for a summer camp. I just can't afford to do much of it these days. I am in fact a country guitarist and vocalist. I used to have a problem getting on stage, but lately I've overcome those issues, and have been playin...

I've been lurking, and posting here for a while now, but I forgot to introduce myself. I'm an aspie from Denver Colorado, my name's Sean, and I work at Starbucks. I have 3 really fun obsessions, I.E. fun for me, but they annoy most sane people... I love country music, and the history thereof, Coffee...

I have gotten a massage before, I CAN'T STAND THEM. Even a handjob at the end would not make even a 5 minute massage okay for me. I even dated a massage therapist. She gave me the only massage I ever got, and I was really uncomfortable being touched like that. She was nice and understanding though.
