I see that a lot; overestimation of the unhappiness of others because they are enjoying lives that would make the poster miserable.

Or is it that they secretly desire that life and only try to convince themselves it would make them miserable? Otherwise, why would other's happiness bother them?

The rash of self-diagnosers can assume a large portion of the blame for the perception in those comments. The denizens of deviantART et al., I'm looking at you.

Having ASD and sensory issues don't necessarily go hand in hand. Actually, exceptional hearing is relatively rare, or so two AS experts said at a PDD conference in Vancouver last October.

Mouth noises drive me f*****g apeshit as well.

And the diagnosis would somewhat ruin that hope I would think it would be a positive, because now there is an explanation for behaviours that before might have been seen as selfish or unreasonable. Now there's a reason behind them. A diagnosis isn't carte blanche to let it all hang out and do what ...

I suppose I should say something about Asperger's and these merchants. I was thinking the same thing, although it might be a bit of a last ditch resort. Also, threaten to shame them to the media for preying on vulnerable disability groups. Why the banks protect these people is beyond me. Ebay is an...

Both my parents are fearful and paranoid. They are also incapable of expressing their needs, and very passive in public. Arguments would lead to days of no conversation whatsoever. Needless to say, it was (and is, as I still live with them at 29) a very strange, inhospitable environment. I'm virtual...

I think you are in the age range and gender of those they tend to target. How's that? I don't see a male in his 30's as being a prime target. Maybe the alone part. Certainly round here, you're in much more danger of this sort of assault here as a young man than any other demographic is. A (vague an...

When you have been in the back of the bus for a few decades you won`t be so worried about offending NTs. Exactly. Nowhere close to the amount of harm can come out of a minority disliking the majority, rather than vice versa. The majority has no true beef in this situation, other than we act "differ...

I wish massive amounts of harm to come to them. I know that's bad of me, but it's bad of them to be so horrible. They lose their right to compassion, IMO, when they render someone Other (basically, dehumanise) to self-aggrandize themselves (or whatever their motivation is). I don't think people com...

Here's the full link: http://www.contracostatimes.com/search/ci_12698824?nclick_check=1 Nice find ASS-P, it's good to see progress being made by the normally intractable world of academia. You still have about 20 or so years of working time left, especially as the retirement age is being pushed back...

I played golf once and f**** hated it. Granted, that's not enough to form an opinion, but the bad taste it left me with hasn't motivated me to try since. I like Churchill's quote on golf: "Golf is a game whose aim is to hit a very small ball into a even smaller hole, with weapons singularly ill-des...

Does anyone maintain a car on a benefit? Or is a car not an option. I do. I haven't had any really hefty repair bills yet, but it is somewhat of a drain financially. I'm not sure what the rules are in your neck of the woods concerning travel allowances on social assistance, but I can claim a small ...
