Getting two books in by next Friday is something that can be done. I believe that short books would be especially easier to read; it's just that to focus on your reading -- reading with no distractions -- will help you finish them. For me, I would say a short book is no more than about 200 -250 page...

I have a lot of incomplete stories, some writings from my portfolio from school, an unfinished stageplay, and right now I'm working on a Christian/Fantasy novel right now -- 17 pages so far. Just started today.

Anybody doing Script Frenzy this month? In case you don't know, Script Frenzy is an event that starts in the month of April. People try to write an 100 page script by April 30th. It's like Nanowrimo (well, the people of Nanowrimo created Script Frenzy), so the concept's pretty much the same, except ...

I have to agree with you. I used to watch Naruto until they've put the fillers. I would watch Shippuuden, but then I don't watch anime anymore. Just saw someone who was obssessed with it and it really creeped me out (though I do buy Japanese songs. If it weren't for the Japanese songs, I wouldn't ev...

AS affects my writing in some ways. Like when I'm thinking of a story, the characters would be so unusual that they almost seem as if they've came from my subconscious. I also make up many words to create metaphors, and sometimes I just create words just to show slang. Also, when I write I also have...

well, it's about two boys with very different lives. one of them is timid... stereotypical "momma's boy" and the other is raised by his abusive father. By the looks of things, I'm already interested in this novel yours. Tell me, is it based on your experiences, or is this based on someone else's ex...

I have this problem too. btw what sort of story do you plan to write? i want to write an existentialist novel and am failing hopelessly. I'm stuck writing this very Philip K. Dick-esque, multilayered, existential sci-fi novel with a stream-of-consciousness style of narration. In a sense, I can see ...

I still play with toys after my mom and dad cleaned our house. I still watch kids tv shows and only kids tv shows. Every adult thing seems to piss me off with their unoriginality. Heck, I even go to the toys section and creative sections at the store just to buy myself a puzzle or game. Like two day...

Your concept is very similar to mine, except that I'm using people with disabilities as the ones who are being the victims. Here's my concept: The year is 23xx. Normal people (called Infallibles) try to evolve synthetically by using eugenics, not to make everyone the same, but to enhance their abili...

Incredible! You remind me of me when I dictate my stories into a digital voice recorder. For you to draw that and have it animated with no plan whatsoever... You, my friend, have talent--and imagination and creativity too. Keep drawing; you just made my day.

Then again, don't buy the Sundisk Sansa Clip mp3 player. Just get a digital recorder. Well, last Monday I bought a Sony ICD-PX720 digital voice recorder and it works wonders for me. There's different settings and types of qualities you can select. You can even select how high or low the sensitivity ...

The Tuesday before New Year's and the beginning of 2010 has been wonderful for me. Why? Well, I've became more productive thanks to my new software: Dragon Naturally Speaking 10. With Dragon, I'm able to turn my voice into text. I remember back then I had a passion for writing, and I would try to wr...

To actually complete some short stories and first drafts of novels in one year using Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 and my Sony ICD-PX720 (my speech recognition software and digital voice recorder for those who don't know what I'm talking about.)

Maybe this time I'll succeed.
