I haven't read Kafka since early high school, but I enjoyed it quite a lot. It was my first exploration into Existentialism, and it created an interest in philosophy that has yet to diminish. I'm taking a class in Continental Literature [primarily focusing on German and Russian literature] next seme...

Dude.

Chill out.

Also, this has nothing to do with religion. I'm just posing the question of what makes a sentient being.

I'm sorry you feel that way.

And I wish you the best of luck with your combines.

I can see how people get attached to inanimate objects that have personal value...as I've said, I love my guitar more than anything else and I'd be terribly sad if it were to get hurt in any way.

Still, I think that calling the destruction of these machines "genocide" is an extreme term to use.

...I don't get it. If you eat meat, you are still consuming the corpse of an animal which has been brutally murdered specifically so you can eat it, thus you are still supporting the slaughtering of animals. Even if you don't directly go out and kill the animal yourself, you're still participating i...

Half Sicilian [not Italian, Sicilian. I can trace my family back to Tusa, Province of Messina, Sicily....it's pretty cool, actually] Half Scandinavian [not sure from where, exactly; my mother is adopted, but her genetic and physical profile is closest to those of Scandinavians.] I'm a weird mix.

Yeah...my ex said he hated condoms with a passion, but I made us use them anyway because there's no WAY I'm having a baby! I confess that I've done "phone-sex" and "instant message sex"...and I actually enjoy it more than physical sex. Probably because there's no fumbling around, no awkward noises, ...

Actually...I'm not an English major. I'm a Creative Writing major with an emphasis on Fiction; I have to take four English courses to complete my requirements, though. They're totally different departments. I seriously couldn't deal with being an English major. I gotta write. :) [I'm at Roger Willia...

I'd walk away.

I mean, why make the Aspie feel like they can't defend themselves? I know if it were me, I wouldn't want someone jumping in to "save me" just because I'm AS.
