I think not having lived at all or being dead would be great, even when things are not that bad, and certainly when tings are very bad. But dying is very very hard. I would not have the courage to end my life. There have been times I really wanted to and took steps, but in the end realized that I ju...

When I recently told my new partner that sometimes I feel, or I am, awkward and weird he said, "It sounds like you have new boyfriend." (Meaning him.) It was funny and sweet and understanding, a joking way of saying, "It's expected," or "That's how it is when you get togethe...

When something bad does happen, having worried about it for years does not make it any easier or any better. The problem you are experiencing is your anxiety over something possibly happening, not the events themselves, which have not happened and in all likelihood never will.

Wow!! I’ve finally found people who also don’t shave their legs We're a small minority even on WP, I think, but I wonder if that's an autistic thing to some degree. I find all personal grooming to be such a chore. I shower and make myself look tidy to go out, but if it wasn't for the sake of other ...

I deliberately avoid watching upsetting shows. I find it wrong and strange that while shows that are on TV won't show nudity they'll have a scene of someone being tortured. I don't understand how that is "entertaining." And how they aren't worried that a child or someone sensitive might co...

Sorry, found a typo in my post. I meant "you can be proud of all of that you've done" of course. I hope it didn't sound like I meant something discouraging, like "you're done."

Keep in mind that security guards are sometimes people who wanted to be cops but didn't qualify. That doesn't often lead to a good attitude or good self-image, which in turn leads to bad behavior. I've had some unpleasant encounters with security guards but mostly just try to not pay attention to th...

I can't comment on your job prospects because I don't know anything about your field, but I do know a lot about Houston and it is not like you are describing. Houston is a huge city (the US's 4th largest) and every possible type of person or scene exists here, including unconventional, artistic, lef...

You did all those things for a reason, whether psychological, emotional, stress, your surroundings, what you were experiencing at the time, and many other possibilities. Looking back, you might think that you should and could have done things differently, but chances are you coped in the only way th...

Never. For one thing I'd have to shave my legs and that's just insurmountable. I don't wear shorts either. I do have one dress, that I have never worn. It's a black winter dress and I have black tights to wear with it, but I just never had occasion to. I bought it in case I needed to wear something ...

I love dogs and cats and I've been considering getting a cat, but for me, especially with dogs, I kind of feel the same way I do around people. Dogs look at you expectantly like you're supposed to do or say something, and I don't know what to say or do. And then I feel bad for disappointing the dog....

I don't think I have any. Maybe I don't understand what you mean by triggers.

I don't have pet peeves either. Not that I think everything is great. I find many things very hard or impossible, but those are not pet peeves.

It would have been absolutely terrible. A cesspool of arguments, bullying, and trolls. At least at my age I mostly know enough to stay away from that aspect of the internet. I wouldn't have known how to as a kid. I'd hate to think the evidence that would be left behind of arguments and angry outburs...
