I haven't done online dating for years. I get half way through creating my profile, get bored and go to bed, never to reopen the site for ages. I guess "creeps" can easily disguise themselves on said platforms, but you have to give them the time of day and spend time interacting with them...

^ That’s the very definition of creepy and sick. it is beyond creepy. it was a criminal act. i was about 13 at the time and i saw it as hilarious. he was so stupid as to be oblivious to the fact he was going to get into major trouble. but it was mostly the australian police approach to handling the...

i guess this is not creepy but outright illegal, but it is one of the funniest things i ever saw. on a train station when i was at school, i used to notice a man wearing loose shorts with no underpants sitting on a bench near me, and there were school girls on the opposite platform laughing at him a...

it is very hard to keep pests out of where they want to be. i had a jar of maple syrup, and it's lid was tightly secured, and it was in my cupboard for about 6 months before i wanted to use it. when i accessed it, i found that there were thousands of dead ants in the jar. how did they get there? i a...

i never wanted friends really. i got some and they were fun, but i really wanted always to be alone. you can do what ever you want when you are alone. when you have friends, you are rarely alone. but one major requirement to being happy without friends is to own your own house with nothing owing. so...

i am australian. and i can attest that this summer, we have had about 40 days of severe thunderstorms. it is hotter than usual, but i live at an altitude of about 900m, so it never gets over 33C. this area has a reasonably primitive electrical infrastructure, and i freak out every day knowing a blac...

Trump hasn't had any real business achievements. He just gets loans that he defaults on. how does he do that? he must have a feasible plan of action. people do not loan you money if you are a wastrel. That's why he sought out Russian oligarchs who were more concerned about making him beholden to th...

i am an australian with no political knowledge really about american politics. so excuse me if i walk heavy footed into this thread. i like trump. i can not see how he has a speech impediment. many people like to show how he has failed in business many times. there is a rather droll australian song ...

well i was diagnosed 20 years ago, and i have been OK until the last 6 months. it is pretty inevitable at this point. i do not want sympathy however. OP, it says you're 46, so you were diagnosed at 26. But may I ask, when did you first take up smoking and when did you quit? How many years of smokin...

Not sure which part of Australia you're in but was wondering if the climate where you are has a positive or negative effect on your condition? Places that are either too damp or too dry could exacerbate the symptoms? i am in the blue mountains at an elevation of 995 meters. i live in wentworth fall...

B9 -- I had severe asthma a few decades ago. My lung function was very restricted. It was one stage above death. But I made a few changes and I overcame the condition. Since your case was primarily caused by smoking, I do not know if what I will say will be of any help to you. Around 20 years ago I...

I am so sorry to hear that you have emphysema, B9. It is a hard condition to live with. My father died from complications of COPD/emphysema over a decade ago. When he was first diagnosed, the medical doctor gave him a prognosis of about the same term of time. But, my father was a stubborn lot. He l...

Wish there was more we could do, but know at least you're not alone, you have friends here and take each fresh day as it comes. I admire your stoicism; stay strong.

friends do not really help if all you can do is see their distorted faces from under water smiling at you.
but it's OK.
