I know the feeling. :( Work in a library. Most asshats get weeded out of there pretty quickly, and there's always something to be done so there's not much time over for workplace politics. You also have the option to just stack rather than deal with customers. I work in a library. And there are lot...

I am always unsure and nervous when this question comes up, unless it is coming from someone who I have met many times before and who always asks me how I am. And even then, I don't like it. I know you're supposed to say 'good how are you' (in Australia you are, anyway), but I don't say this, firstl...

Intuition - for what? I'm obviously lacking intuition in social situations, but my intuition for other stuff is just fine - I usually do my problem-solving subconsciously. And I'm good at it. I would guess then that you're another "theoretical" thinker like I am. I think our mode of thinking is mor...

I'm in mensa. I joined after getting a high score on the WAIS test when my psychologist suggested I might find some 'people like me' there. I went to the book club, but the things the others wanted to say about the books were kind of boring. Also the socialising was stressful, so I stopped going. I ...

I agree with sunshower and Danielismyname - AS is by definition a disability. I think some people here view a disability as some kind of awful taboo - 'oh no I'm not disabled, I'm too happy/successful/talented for that'. To be blunt, this is a silly attitude. It is perfectly possible to be all these...

i wonder why anyone would want to claim their IQ score to people they know. i admit when i first joined here, there was one of these IQ threads and i decided to take the online test and post my result. after a few days, i became uncomfortable with having posted my result, but i could not edit it to...

I like orbiting my own private sun. My world is the most awesome place for me to be, in my opinion. Although I have begun to get used to having other people around (although actually interacting with them for extended periods of time is difficult, and results in meltdown) due to having a job with pe...

I don't know if my medications are SSRIs, but two of them are antidepressants, so the upsides are: 1)Less anxious 2)Less depressed 3)More controllable mood swings 4)Less self-harm 5)Less likely to sit and stare at a wall for ages 6)Sleep better 7)Easier to engage with others 8)More likely to have pe...

My IQ was tested ~20 months ago at 152. I don't know if this is accurate or not; it certainly doesn't describe my functional abilities. I come across as intelligent, but not as intelligent as I actually am.

Getting DXed with personality disorders IS pretty pointless IMO. Aaahh personality disorders.... yeah, probably the most pointless diagnosis you can get. Why? Because in order to have a personality disorder, you need to have a series of extremely rigid and deep-set behaviours. As far as I know, mos...

Well I've never noticed The Stare in others, because I don't pick up on those things, but apparently I stare a lot. I've been told I look (and sound) blank most of the time. Also, when I see something/someone I'm interested in, I tend to stare at it/them intently. Apparently this unsettles people, s...
