The big dispute comes down to the idea of human influenced global warming. Pretty much everyone will admit that the climate changes, it's done so since the beginning of the planet, but how much is human activity impacting it? I'd say not much as Mars is experiencing the same measure of warming that ...

Capitalism is just an economic system wherein the means of production are not owned by the workers.  It is neither evil nor good, but only a means of making value-added profit for those who DO own the means of production -- the Capitalists. So basically, if you want the capitalists to solve the wor...

For me, it seems like I'm committing a personal violation of some sort. I wouldn't walk up to a woman and grab her breast, but looking her in the eye kind of feels the same.

Why do people act like it would be so bad if Trump wins? Under Trump, the economy was strong, the world was a lot more peaceful and our border was way more secure. Why would anyone be afraid of going back to that?

It would definitely be a poor substitute, but for some people, it could very much be better than nothing.

Trump speaking truth. Into what bizarro world have I awakened? Bizarro world? Nearly everyone in the country was doing better under Trump than they're doing under Biden. Why wouldn't they want to try to go back to that? Back up your claims with evidence. Do you have any statistics or figures that s...

I don't see it happening. The Palestinians have been offered their own state multiple times with the only requirement being they have to recognize Israel's right to exist and they've refused every time.

Communists infiltrated our schools years ago and have been slowly "educating" our children to be more sympathetic and favorable to communism.

Abrahamic religion is very phallocentric. I’m bored with penises. Worshiping Mary would be a pleasant change. . Exactly. Mary worship maybe heresy, or at least flirting with heresy. But the fault is not with the RCC, but with a flaw in Christianity itself (and Islam and Judaism as well). Humans (bo...

I've seen american polls that show Trump winning in 2025 is becoming likelier and likelier. of course, project 2025 is a very complex multi-step plan with a million places where it could go wrong, but it still makes me worry. My very existence would be illegal under their ideal government. Are you ...

I didn't think about eating out. I do do that on my own quite a bit. I guess I just considered that along the lines of running an errand. :) It's not that I'm afraid to go out by myself, or don't like it, it's just that I usually can't think of anything I want to go do (other than eat out) by myself.

Overall, it's just social isolation. Without any friends, I can't think of anything to go do by myself so I pretty much don't leave my house anymore except to run errands or something.

It's driving me nuts. I have no friends at least friends that live near me. Other than running errands I don't go anywhere or do anything because I can't think of anything to do by myself. Going to "social events" doesn't work for me because I don't enjoy just talking to strangers. What's ...

I don't have a viable way to meet anyone. I don't have any friends and generally can't think of anything I want to go do by myself so I generally just stay home. When I do go out, I generally go to a cigar/pipe lounge and there are never single women there or I go fishing which is something I just d...
