My aspie son has suffered with suicidal ideation for awhile ~ constant bullying by his peers.......get your son to the dr ASAP. take every threat seriously. |

you sure do have your hands full...my AS son was quite like you're explaining, that is, until he actually started to get some sleep. as it turns out, he wasn't sleeping more than 4 hours a night ~ although i tried repeatedly to tell the drs that he wasn't sleeping, they just wouldnt listen....finall... |

hubby says " i like blankets too. I have a 16 pound weighted blanket that i have to sleep with that goes on top of the other blankets. I like feeling the pressure of the weighted blanket. I also have to have stuff over my head. Cold is great...i can sleep in any sort of cold.....on another note, i h... |

hubby, who's an aspie, wants me to post this question for him( he's dyslexic too, and has a great fear of typing)....... Every night when he goes to sleep, he has to have pillows surrounding him like a cocoon. he literally has a place for each one of his 8 pillows. ( one goes behind his back, 2 unde... |

it's very hard to know just what is going on, living so far away......it definitely sounds like something, but could be just about anything....unless the parents are willing to see that something might be wrong, there's not a whole lot you can do, unfortunately. children are mysterious creatures~ so... |

this was my initial understanding ~ that maybe she's just displaying traits, but is not really an aspie...........i don't know.....i don't want to see something that isn't really there. i'm so unsure of what to do....do i try to have her tested even though she's not displaying any truly worrisome be... |

please, try to find some way that you can get her to a counselor before things get worse. it is so hard to climb out of depression once you sink very low. I could see the signs of my son becoming depressed, but we weren't able to secure a counselor until he talked about commiting suicide to his camp... |

ok, so i'm a fast reader......so far, from what i've read, it sounds like my daughter has some asperger-like qualities. she definitely does empathize , though....and i can't honestly say that she is very logical............. |
