I can confirm that I miss context and I really had to train my son to consider context, both in receiving and delivering information. |

From a Biblical perspective, the world is ruled by the devil. Don't listen to all the traditions you've been told, read what's actually written. The whole theme of the Bible is the reestablishment of the rule of God. Our first parents rebelled, saying they didn't need God and he allowed them to go o... |

How do you condense that down? I have the idea that one sentence per page with some important bit of information on it would be digestible. It doesn't need to say everything. It just needs to get across basics so they have some grounding. I read it's better to explain your specific support needs ra... |

I found cashiering incredibly boring and liked when there were no customers, as I was just standing there. Meanwhile the NT one lane over was like, "Oh I'm so bored, where are the customers??" I thought she was nuts. I liked just standing there daydreaming in my own world or people watchi... |

Change is tough. I'm still working on getting better from some conflicts and shake ups that happened a few years ago. Two steps forward, one back. Anger, despair, frustration, more anger. I do better with change that's a net positive. I don't do great, but it's tolerable. When a change is a big nega... |

:D Very exciting! I had all these elements that I randomly wanted to fit into the book. It should be the end of the series of four books unless I somehow introduce more questions. That seems to happen when I write, and I think "Well, more material for the next book." but now I have to shut... |

I wonder how the genetic markers he's talking about relate to the four subtypes of autism that were identified by AI as discussed in the other thread making its rounds? Some of the genetic risk factors seem to correlate with the specific traits that were described but they seem individual effects ra... |

People that I drop my mask for even a little and don't freak out say "Yeah we know," people that do freak out don't hang around long enough, but a lot of people have no idea what being autistic means and say "You don't look autistic" to me. |

I don't have a problem telling people "no" either, but stores usually have a policy in some form of "the customer is always right." Which is totally wrong. So now you're dealing with two wrong entities that are ready to blame you for any meager loss of money. Not an optimal situa... |

I've never written my autobiography but I did put an "about the author" in the back of one of my books. Emmett fixes things for a living and breaks things that need breaking. He’s written a few books that nobody’s ever heard of and makes table top games. He’s not famous for any reason good... |

I don't think loneliness is as cut and dried as that. Some neurotypicals can be lonely. Some have no choice, like the elderly. I'm sure that they took that into account. If neurotypicals couldn't be lonely, we probably wouldn't have a word for it. I'm also not saying that I'm always lonely. It's pe... |

I really hate bullying. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say something that's probably not going to be popular. The only thing that ever worked for me was unfortunately to hit back. That can be metaphorically but I have thrown a few punches in my time. The important thing is to do it at the ri... |
