-5. A person who pursued me hard this year started seeing another this summer because of the practical support offered by this other. She dropped me for him despite saying I was still the love of her life. She had much lesser feelings for him. She then strung me along the next few months because she... |

I went through a period like this years ago. I assumed that if I had to attend some event (or even just during usual daily activities), I had to look good because I equated it with being sociable. I was clueless that actual social skills were needed to be sociable. I would prepare myself, then just ... |

I am living as a male to such an extent that when I catch a glimpse of my androgynous-looking self in a mirror or bathe, I am shocked to not see a male. Everything would feel so much more congruent in a male body. My self-confidence would increase due to this sense of congruency. I would not feel so... |

From the nicest people, I get such comments as, "Maybe you will get used to the noise with enough exposure", "Can't you be less ... you?", "Be more normal!", "Stop hitting youself! I'm getting very angry!", and talk of my "craziness". Then there are occasionally those who also know of your diagnosis... |

That's what the boy did in the episode "Hero Worship" where he emulates Data and suppresses emotions. He is perplexed that Data wants to become more human. |

I wouldn't pussyfoot around the issue. Clearly state why you are there. If you do not mention AS specifically, they will not know to refer you to a specialist and might waste time (months) referring you to general mental health services, which are not equipped to deal with AS. It is not your job to ... |

Intersexed people either have both male and female attributes, neither male nor female attributes, or in between male and female attributes. Or grow up seemingly with all one but hit puberty and either nothing usual happens or end up with attributes of the "opposite" sex. But being intersexed is ab... |

There is the option of making an official NHS complaint . Ask your GP for advice on this or drop into your local Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS), which is very helpful; you can find your local branch here . Will they send you a report? This can be included in a complaint if it is incompete... |

What made my experience with the therapists even worse was that I had a decent childhood. They would not accept this and would dig around to find trauma where there was none. |

I am more male than female. I have a typically male cognitive profile. I live like a male and dress like one, although a quite androgynous one: I occasionally wear eye liner and earrings. I am also bisexual. If there were an opportunity to choose to start over, I would just choose a male body becaus... |

This is the second time this useless department has wasted my time, every time I ask for a refferal for psychology services suited to someone with Aspergers, I land up at that place. This has lead me to give up asking for these sorts of services, because every road leads back there. My GP even reff... |
