I take all that stuff you named. Sometimes it seems like it helps, sometimes, eh? whatever. It takes forever to wake up. Multiple bands is a big stressor. I just got a gig for may 14-16, 30 bands in three days. I'm already nervous. In a way though I do better in that situ cause time slows down and I...

I was too scared by the cover of Destroyer to buy a copy when it came out in what '74, '75? Flaming cities and weird androgynous get-ups it was just too much, so of course I became a fan. I didn't need to buy an album cause all my friends had 'em. We immediately started a band with cheap knock-off g...

It's nice to know that is indeed a picture of you, Neshama. I was wanting to ask but didn't want to pry. One of the things I have been wondering about is, is there a stereotypical aspie expression? Do you have it in the picture? I have a real hard time with faces to begin with, but have begun to sus...

Here's too short quotes. "black iron prison". not really a sentence just a phrase, from P. K. Dick. "Iron nails ran in." R. A. Wilson wrote that phrase in Masks of the Illuminati, but he didn't "write" it, he was quoting too, but it does bear repeating, "Iron nails ran in." A last quote So I turned ...

This is like a weird echo rolling from brain to brain. I see you wrote a lot of this 2 months ago. The last few days have just been slamming me with this stuff. Yesterday I was running a show and they opened the house and all 1200 people come tromping into the showroom past my board and no one sees ...

I guess I've really missed a lot the last couple weeks. Am going to read this thread through very carefully tomorrow. This thread really goes to what I've been thinking the last few weeks. I have real problems seeing myself as I have written elsewhere. Seems I have very limited range of emotions. Of...

This is something I've been wondering about for a few days now. I used to "practice" a lot of things. Yo yo tricks, frisbee tricks, very repetitive stuff. One thing in particular, I would play a single octave scale on the guitar, up and down, over and over. It drove my parents nuts. I always thought...

Hello acacia, Shaman's Drum, the journal of experiencial shamanism is written by anthropologists, ethnobotanists, and ethnopharmacologists. It talks a lot about plants, music, specifically drums flutes and rattles, and their traditional uses, by writers and researchers who actually get initiated int...

I see it like this, I have two obsessions, one intellectual and one emotional. Intellectual: Plants. Taxonomy and Ethnobotany especially. Emotional: Music. In particular the relationship between frequency, rhythm and states of mind. Shaman's Drum? There is a book I saw once from a rosicrucian order...

The guy was Basque by the way. His name had a string of letters that were so idiosyncratic, they could not have been from any Indo-european language. Like "Leaugulrseop" It was too weird even to be welsh.

pluto - etymology rocks! I also have a thing about words, and obscure languages. . Words are wonderful. I met a guy with this really weird name, I don't remember what it was, I'm staring at his name tag and I blurt out "holy S%#t, you're f*&#ing Basque aren't you?" and he looked like he'd been ...

Most of my attempt to look cool have been failures. I prefer uniformity. I get 4 or five outfits all the same. I am in a profession where everyone always wears black, which is nice. Fewer decisions. Hmm what do I feel like wearing today? Hmmm, I don't know. Maybe the black? Yes I think the black wil...

I interact subtly and invisibly, almost imperceptibly at times. I force myself to listen much more than I talk. In a large group of people, I am usually by myself. In group discussions, I'm mostly silent, until I speak, when the silence becomes suddenly more generalized, almost deafening. This will ...
