Thank you all for your replies. It definitely helps ease some of my worry to hear your perspectives. I now understand this regression a little more! I will definitely just enjoy my daughter and maybe think about the possibility of AS if it comes up.

She also loves taking baths. She even likes getting OUT of the bath still wet. I don't even need to turn off the A/C. I thought this was weird but my husband doesn't.

My daughter is about 10 months old and she's as social as babies get. She smiles at strangers, entertains and charms family members, babbles a LOT (since she was a newborn) and she even turns around when I call her name - complete opposite to me as a baby! I'm just wondering... Will she end up being...

I can't believe he would ever say that to his child, whether she was truly his daughter or not. Saying it drunk and so spitefully, that is too cruel. It's a tough situation because he did stick around for her whole life, so he's "family". But I agree with the previous poster, at the very least - exp...

Her son is probably diagnosed with autistic disorder, not PDD-NOS, and not Asperger's. My parents both think autism and Asperger's are separate. They both know AS is on the autism spectrum but they both think it's two different things. And what do you think about it? I feel like I share characteris...

A co-worker was explaining her brother's autism to me the other day. It was directly after she was talking about how she avoided vaccines during her pregnancy. I am pregnant right now and I have gotten the flu shot with little to no worries about my child "contracting" autism. This is largely becaus...

I have the same problem. My mother has tortured me with pleas to cut my hair (into a "style" which I hate - I prefer plain long hair) and wear make-up. She has even said to me, "You don't wear a lot of make-up" in a conversation about why my now-husband boyfriend hadn't proposed yet. It's infuriatin...

Oh, I'm a total hypocrite when it comes to affection. When I'm in the mood, I'll be hyper and shower him with kisses. I'm just lucky he appreciates it! But I almost always have to initiate. I apologize and say sorry for being mean. And he just says that he knows what I'm like and that maybe I can wo...

Do you hate being kissed or hugged or even talked to when you're not expecting it? For me, I hate the most when I'm in the middle of doing something. I always feel bad when I tell my SO, "I don't want that right now. Go away!" Then in a lame attempt to make up for it, I say, "Please!" I know it's ru...

I agree to an extent, you should try to find other healthier outlets, but I get it. I know, it's easier said than done. I have to say I wasn't getting any happier by smoking, but I am happier knowing that I've quit and won't go back. In retrospect, I don't hate that I ever did either.

As I read another poster stating several months ago about this very topic... Asperger's syndrome isn't exactly a prize. If someone in all seriousness says they have it, then as far as I'm concerned, they do. I can't speak for the people who supposedly use the label to excuse themselves for regular ...

I have before, but I never became completely dependent on it. I just used it to relax while I painted. I think it's okay as long as you're aware of why you're smoking and in control of your impulses to smoke. I also think smoking American Spirits are better. But now that I'm pregnant, I don't think ...

I'm thinking of certain people in my life. Sometimes friends say things that bother me and I want to come off as unfriendly because of it. For example, my friend is offended that I'm not inviting her to my very small wedding ceremony (only 15 people). She's more offended because I'm inviting my best...

I am about 20 weeks along. I went through some serious bouts of depression and anxiety in the earlier stages of my pregnancy, but have been much better since then. Maybe just a bit irritable. I don't know if it's going to make my future baby a complicated teen, like I've read in some articles, but I...

I like the show now, but I can't help but  my eyes at the overly concerned mother. She is obsessing over whether or not her baby is a girl or boy. It really doesn't matter. Girls are just more difficult to detect. A socially awkward boy who likes to read and not play sports is more obvious in ...
