Labels are all about convenience. Since we are going that route quickly, perhaps we should all just plaster labels all over us so that people can quickly decide if they want to get to know someone or if the person is really suited for the job. What a wonderful and efficient world it would be then. I...

Hooray!

Go team zero.

Yes some of mine have faded, things I did as kid I don't do now. When I was little I used to throw big tantrums if there was a bump in my socks because of how sensitve I was, now I aren't too bothered it's nothing more than a slight annoyance. I used to be really blunt and say I things I shouldn't ...

I am more engaged and happy when listening to music, unless it's something sappy then I immediately have to change it. My God... I cannot stand sappy! Concepts such as "Love FM" annoy me to no end. haha. i was just thinking, I wonder what fiddlerpianist would do if sappy song came on. Then I heard ...

Talking to yourself is not a sign of craziness. It's an outdated saying. I have been talking to myself ever since I was a kid. I didn't know it until someone told me that when I was around 8 I told them that I talk to myself out loud when I have a problem to solve. I still do this and I have come up...

I am not as quiet as I used to be although still quiet in some situations like being in a group or when two people are talking. My problems with sounds and the reaction are still the same except sounds that used to not bother me now do. So new sounds that are bothersome. Problems with lights are the...

Hi 1234.

Everything you wrote does sound like you have aspergers. Some psychiatrists tend to think if you are attractive, you can't have aspergers. There is even a stereotype that you must be male.

You went to school with people you hate briefly and you think you have it so bad that you can come here and take it out on people here? That was 8th grade. Alot changes from that time. I am wayyy different than when I was in 8th grade. If that is all that has ever traumatized you, you should feel l...

Here I thought this thread was about the differences and studies about HFA and AS. Shame on me for reading the thread title. I still think the people I went to school with briefly in the 8th grade were HFA misdiagnosed as AS and that I have high functioning AS myself. I also think a lot of the peop...

+1 Wow, that's a constructive comment. Did you have a meltdown or something which made you unable to write the rest? It's my way of saying I agree. Not with you obviously. If I were having a meltdown, I wouldn't be typing here. Maybe you should go study meltdown 101. In terms of AS science you live...

A lot of people on WP seem to fall into the unfortunate mode of thinking where Aspies are somehow a superior race, or the next stage in evolution, or something like that. Because of this, WP has a somewhat negative reputation among some crowds. I really doubt most aspies believe this, I think peopl...

I looked up a few people from my past on Facebook. Mostly high school people. I am amazed at who some people list at friends on their account. People who I could never imagine keeping in touch. People who were popular in high school keeping in touch with others who really weren't with the "in" crow...
