Do you feel uncomfortable being male, or having a penis (the former implies the latter)? How do you feel about seeing other men?

I work as a pari-mutuel teller (clerk) at a race track. Essentially that means I sell wagers on race horses. Horse racing has never been a real interest for me. My dad used to be a jockey, my mom has worked as a teller since she was 16 (the track lied about her age to get her in). My grandfather was...

I've had the lawnmower wake me up one day. It basically ruined my entire day. I got into a tantrum and ran out of the house. Loud conversations are annoying indeed. Especially when you can't avoid listening to them. My dad watches old cowboy shows all day. Old-style sound effects, gunshots every sce...

I wouldn't mind living in a world of silence. My parents watch TV so loud, and I have sensitive ears. It frustrates me to the point that it stops me from enjoying anything. Whenever I have the house to myself I turn all the TVs off and enjoy the lack of sound for as long as I can. I particularly can...

Hey, man, sorry about that. I know there are a lot of gay Aspies out there. I was trying to be a little bit funny, so I apologize if I hurt anyone's feelings. I never did take offense. I actually found it quite funny! And the feeling of "coming out" as an aspie has felt similar to coming out gay.

I understand that NTs seem to require eye contact to ensure that what they are listening to each other. Maybe they can't listen without eye contact? Eye contact longer than three or four seconds makes me feel sick. I particularly don't enjoy it when people try their best to engage contact while I am...

This is where being an aspie has its advantages. I can almost say with 100% certainty that no aspie was crushed as the doors opened for Black Friday sales. I just don't see the rush as something an aspie would be interested in. Now I notice there were fights at Walmarts all over the country. I can ...

So now that it is the day after thanksgiving, it is officially "Black Friday" despite most stores having sales for weeks that could be considered door busters, and also that many stores opened at 8 pm on thanksgiving day.. Has anyone done any holiday shopping yet? Did you buy something for yourself,...

Tell them you need to have a talk with them about who you really are deep down. Ask them to follow you to talk in the living room. Your parents will freak out that you will tell them that you are gay. Once you tell them that you have Aspergers they will be relieved. LOL I've already come out to my ...

I've had a difficult time maintaining eye contact as a child. My teachers would always ask me to make contact when talking to me one-on-one: even after they asked me I felt very uncomfortable doing so that I could not even make out what they were saying after I did. I don't make eye contact with my ...

Kezzstar, I would first like to tell you that you're not alone with these feelings (although I'm sure you know many of us feel this way too). I too have felt as though I should give up. I too rely on my mother to house me. I live with her. And my dad. I don't drive, and they drive me around, or I ta...

Hello everybody! I have not been on this forum in one or two years time, and I'm sure plenty has changed, and many people have come and gone. So I'd like to take the chance to say "hi" to everyone who has joined since my hiatus, and everyone who is still around who likely do not remember me (and vic...

Perfect. I get enough of that sort of talk in real life, why waste time with the same shallow talk online? If you really want some introspective input into how and why you feel as though you do, maybe you shouldn't just disregard everything we are trying to say. I'm sure that you can find something...

2. It can ******NEVER******* be "approved by the FDA", as it is considered a SUPPLEMENT, and thus needs no approval and the FDA isn't allowed to. The FDA allows foods to make health claims if someone submits enough evidence to support for approval. Oats are allowed to have a claim that they can hel...

I downloaded it, and it is very improved compared to Vista. However, it doesn't include "basic" features such as printing to PDF and spell check in every text box. I would assume they didn't implement this because of backwards compatibility.

There is no concrete evidence to support this, and it is not approved by the FDA or any medical community to treat any disorder, including anxiety disorders.
