Incidentally, when I told her that I prefer to wear the same loose, soft stuff everyday, she also mentioned that the collar I was wearing at the time woul... |

Do obsessions in Aspergers switch from thing to thing over time, or are the "intense, narrow interests" about the same thing over time? |

The doctor said I'm not an Aspie, but my ADD/OCD issues explain the symptoms.
The main thing she said is that I don't have the wild mood swings that would have to be present with Aspergers. Also, I don't have a problem with change, which is a big Aspie thing. |

I think I may puke.
I'm going to see a psychiatrist today to see what she thinks about possible AS Dx.
Not sure why I am nervous, but I am. Yikes.

I'm a great parent, or so I've been told.
I do get overwhelmed by the chaos of my kids sometimes (3 little ones), but I feel that I am a good parent.
So screw whoever said we can't be. |

I'm going to go see someone shortly - within a month, probably.
What is the experience like? Do they do tests, etc? |

Even when I am feeling insecure about something, this happens. Does that happen to everybody?
Absolutely what I mean. |

Thanks.
It is the same for me. I am an exceptional writer (or so I've been told), but I am constantly having problems speaking my thoughts. |

Does anyone have any issues with explaining your thoughts to people. Like the wrong word escapes from your mouth in place of what you meant to say?
Also, what about being actually misunderstood as if you mumbled or something?
Is this an Aspie trait?
Thanks |
