Aspie1 - The thing is, the issues he's bringing up have nothing to do with him. It's mostly regarding things that I had told him about before we were dating, relating to other people. Being an attorney, I'm very well aware of what people can do with abusive emails, but it's not even an issue, since ...

I am BEYOND proud of the changes I've made over the years he and I have known each other. I spent much of that time in a very abusive and toxic relationship. I was NOT the same person then that I am now, I feel that I have finally come full-circle, and I don't enjoy being forced to relive how bad th...

I do agree with the preservation in amber comment....and I know change bothers him, whether it's negative or positive. He obviously takes serious exception to the fact that I've sorted out a lot of personal issues since we've been together and shortly before that (in a large part due to my last rela...

Oh yeah, forgot one....veganism (not politically), nutrition, and exercise/strength training. However, this was officially deemed 'orthorexia'....

I have a few. I guess I'm somwhat broad in my narrow interests. ;) - Word etymology/usage - music, particularly pre-50s. Music lyrics and trivia, not limited to any one time period. - New York City between 1890-1960 - Cat breeds - Post-mortem photography - Family history, even though I've no feeling...

Yes. Years ago, someone said to my mother of me: 'You know how they say some people are 'thin-skinned'? Well, this child isn't thin-skinned....she has no skin.' In this sense, nothing has changed over the decades. This is particularly problematic, since despite not being able to deal at all with cri...

In my case, this totally varies by mood. At certain times, I don't want anyone near me, even close friends, but at other times, I do crave social interaction, albeit only with people with whom I'm comfortable.

I do the same as you do....I save PARTICULAR emails, both for creative reasons and personal reasons. It's both the fact that he's saved ALL of them and ARCHIVED them, and what he's choosing to do with them that bothers me. It came up last night when I said something about myself being brutally hones...

Even with the weight of a lot of the problems we've had before, I have never considered fleeing so seriously till now. Funny, being the queen of delayed reactions, I didn't react half this violently last night when it came up....it's now, after thinking a bit more about it, I can't stop shuddering. ...

Awhile back, I was posting a lot on here not so much about MY AS issues, as about those of my slightly-less socialized Aspie boyfriend, and the way that I couldn't exactly deal with some of it. He's getting better in a lot of areas, but I just found out about yet another thing, that I have to admit,...

Well, yes, I would definitely prefer not to get beaten up every time someone gets annoyed with me (I'd be too dead to post here now, for sure)....but I'd still far rather get told off than be on the receiving end of the petty bitchiness most people call passive-aggression.

There's really no way to tell. I've had people accusing me, since I was diagnosed, of not actually having AS. These people didn't know me as a kid, when I far more resembled a Kanner autistic than an aspie, and they don't know me well enough to see into my head or what happens outwardly when I'm str...

I can neither deal with (when I actually pick up on it), nor understand passive aggression. I realise using it isn't just an NT thing, since honestly, I've dealt with A LOT of it lately coming from Aspies who, in my humble opinion, are a whole heck of a lot lower-functioning than I am. Like lying, t...

The only thing I might have a problem with is the drinking, and that all depends on how much you drink. Drinking at 16 is not a big thing to me since (a) I was doing it way before then, and (b) MODERATE drinking (as in what was accepted from adults) was totally the norm among teenagers where I grew ...

I'm supposedly a genius, but I still have trouble reading clocks.

I'm addicted to Starbucks' Holiday coffee concoctions.

My eyes are two different colours.

A niacin flush can actually be good for you....it releases toxins through your skin. I've done them purposely before....habitually, actually. Though the doc really should have warned you, since it's NOT exactly fun, and it's scary as hell the first time it happens...not to mention, it's not the sort...
