Autism Speaks partially redeemed themselves by hiring John Elder Robison as a spokesperson. Prior to that, they didn't actually LET autistics speak but tried to speak for us, and that was the thing that got a lot of us really upset. I don't know why I'm still so angry. I looked over their financial ...

I'm letting people know in case your gut feeling and conscience is stronger than your desire for designer T-shirts and teddy bears :) Better yet, write to them and post ...

Well, I had to disable the video.. I set it on "private-invitation only." If you think you might be able to help, can you PM me your email address so I can let you in to see it? I could also then send both audio files to your address. Thanks so much!

Hi. Yes, I used Audacity to do the one I'm talking about.. and I also listened to it on YouTube and I'm not hearing what others are.. which is why I don't know how to correct. I had to disable the video and our director doesn't want it re-released until Sept now. Can anyone make a mixed audio track ...

I tried sound mixing for the first time yesterday. I mixed music with an audio track. I uploaded my vid to YouTube. Well, I hear it just fine but other people can't.. why? People hear the music but not the voice, but when I hear it, the music is almost too soft. This is for a good cause: an organiza...

I'm looking into meditation now to see if that will help. I got a book with 35 meditation techniques, from all religions and sp...

I'm also on the board of AWN and this contest is great! We have an opportunity to educate the public about females with ASD and to expand our other services, including e-mentoring. Please vote, every day if you can, to help support these important ideas. http://www.pepsirefresh.com/awn Thanks!!

My psychiatrist told me today I have "partial tourettes." I came home and looked up the diagnostic criteria and it looked to me like I have all of it, not just partial. He thought it might all be a component of my ASD. He said if I wanted to fix it, I could go back on anti-psychotic meds... which al...

Ok, the "mercury moms" have now found a new way to eliminate the evil mercury they feel is the cause of their children's "problems" despite all scientific research to the contrary: Lupon, a chemical castration drug. http://www.theautismnews.com/2010/08/03/castration-drug-given-to-kids-as-autism-ther...

Psychosis is not a part of the diagnostic criterion for ASD's and is usually not a component. That being said, if you have a co-morbid condition (mine is bipolar) you can occasionally experience psychotic symptoms due to that, in additon to your ASD. It is normal with bipolar, for instance, to have ...
