"On the other hand, someone with Asperger's sees other people as people, but wants to be a part of them, be with them, but can't. It's like they are looking into a house through a window at the people." I agree with that part. I can be with people (it's tiring...), look like normal (I hope), but I ...

Can you impress a group of girls by farting in front of them?

Bad idea... It's very rarely seen as positive to fart in front of people.

Forum: General Autism Discussion   Topic: Can You Read While Listening To Music?

Depends. Instrumental usually helps me focus, whereas music with lyrics makes me lose focus. I find people talking around me to be the most distracting thing of all though, so even music with lyrics is preferable to being around talking people when I'm reading. Same for me. But it's only when I'm a...

I realize many new things, nearly everyday, since I know about Asperger. Often, after having noticed something strange, I discover that people with AS do or think the same way...

Sometimes it's like I simply can't speak... When I'm "nervously too tired". Yesterday I was in my familly, we had to meet so many people, some of them I didn't know, and the others I just didn't want to see. I "played the game" during 4 long hours... Trying to avoid being alone with someone, trying ...

I often have (at least) one arm in that position like a server... Just I think he is turned and stuck near my stomach (not sure it's understandable !).

I had some interest for trains as child but only for the train himself and not for his routes and schedules (I only used train very rarely in my childhood... The rare times I did it I was really very very happy !). I still love to travel with it (if not to crowded and noisy ) but nothing th...

I remember that I've read The neverending story written by Michael Ende a few years ago.

I recognized me in the little Bastian Balthazar Bux and I think he seem to be like an Aspie.

Good video (again) ! I used to ask why all the time and wanted to know why to everything. It drove my whole family crazy. If I was told to not do something, I would ask why and they would refuse to tell me why. I would also ask what if I did and they still wouldn't tell me so I would do it anyway an...

One of the classic signs someone is autistic is more of an interest in things than people. Like, if someone has cards in their hands, you are more interested in looking at the cards and seeing what they are than you are asking the person who has them questions like,"how are you doing today?". There...

I confess my mother just called me. I first didn't pick up the phone but then I recognized her number that's why I called her back. She still can't understand that if you tell me : "hi, we are here in 10 minutes, we go... would you come with us ?" I always say "no" and become nervous/angry.
