Oh yes. I like The Shins too |

I love Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes! I'm into the music, otherwise I don't know much about either. Only that Seattle turns out so many great artists, and that the album Fleet Foxes is worth buying on vinyl... Inside was a sheet a paper with one of the most beautiful explanations of album I've ever read... |

Pretty much all of them except Studio Ghibli and the older "Pokemon" episodes. Both of those have an innocence (and not a forced "innocence" like I've seen in some other anime) that I don't see in a lot of the other ones I've seen. I always struggle having conversations with fell... |

I think a primary large part of anime is expression, how the creators breathe life into the character's emotions by showing it very visually on the characters. For people who might have Asperger's and difficulty picking up on the normal subtle sides of emotion, this can be an attractive medium. The... |

Anime like any medium can appeal to people for various reasons. Keep in mind that not all anime fans are NDs. Personally there's many things I like about anime but the biggest is the fact that it showed me that animation was capable of telling robust, moving, and thoughtful stories thus invalidatin... |

To be honest, mixed feelings. I used to love the show, but I felt like it jumped the shark during the 3rd season when they actually had Sheldon go on a date with someone. I'm not trying to imply Aspies don't date, as I know a few who have, but part of what made Sheldon so appealing to me was that h... |

Sure there could be a market for that. Anything that's written well can sell ... with a little bit of luck. Reminds me of a trailer I saw recently about a girl with ASD who's trying to find a boyfriend. It looks like a smaller budget movie, but someone had to pay for it. Jane Wants A Boyfriend P.S.... |

This is probably going to either sound like sacrilege or completely alien to a lot of you, but I've honestly never gotten the connection between Asperger's and anime. It seems to be VERY common, both from people I've known personally and people I've known online. I'm actually not into a lot of stere... |

Any other Aspies here that like this sorta music? If so, please be sure to reply to me and tell me what you like. I know this is an old thread by now, but I just happened upon it today by Googling "the stereotype about autism and trains". This was one of the first things that showed up. I like riding on trains but that's about it. I never found any fascination with how they're built, their mechanisms, history o... |
