In South Africa we have Affirmative Action which is purely based on your skin colour and is supposed to address the injustices of Apartheid. But it plays out that my 16 month old white son will not find a job here unless I create it for him when he grows up. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affirmative_...

Yip. I have an acquaintance who I would have liked as a friend seeing as I have only 3, so I treated her well, made her tea and muffins, shared books, drove her around and she kept being aloof and occasionally "fake-friendly" and over the top smiley. Not sincere. She would literally ignore my text m...

OMG! For me this is real. I FEEL. I have told my husband many times that I feel as if I'm plugged into the UNIVERSE. I barely made it home from a shopping centre and meeting on Monady at my husband's cafe' because I was in a state of utter fear and panic. For NO reason whatsoever other than I...

Same here.. It used to be so painful for me and I still cry when I get ignored by some people, (I do! they just don't return my calls for DAYS), but now I've come to the realisation that I'm different, not weird, just different. And that different is totally ok and we are needed just the way we are ...

Where's my "savant"? I can't do anything. Without my husband and kids, I'm pretty much F'ed. Hey You! Back at you  Many Savants are f'ed, as you say without their support systems of families etc as are almost everyone. I feel that all humans are in need of a deeper connection with other humans...

I think I'm interesting. I work to raise awareness of the importance of play in children's lives for learning as well as many other developmental and social reasons. I've worked in the "corporate world" for many years and held repsonsible positions, but I never really fitted in as I felt that I need...

Lol!! ! Their receivers must be broken... Age has nothing to do with having the x factor. Now that I know I am an Aspie, I've started to watch my behaviour to see what I'm doing. I smile too much, literally. Must be an AS coping skill. Always smiling, inappropriately and at everyone. I'm not saying ...

:D Lol, yes that paranoia does get out of hand sometimes and I hear you. Today she was all nice, but you know this is the first time I've been in a hostile environment with a woman boss so I guess this is how they get. Hormonal. One day nice, one day bitchy. I get the sense that she is ready to pounce, but can't as I am an integral part and driver of the May 28th even...
