Again, I think you should try another medication, immediately. Clearly the one you're on is not working, and it might even be exacerbating things.

In a way, you are lucky to have known your father, and to realize how bad of an example he is to follow. It's also good that you've been able to learn from your past relationship. It means you can be a better person. I tried Effexor once years ago. Immediate bad side effects, so it wasn't for me. I ...

It's crushing because it both confirms what I have felt for most of my life (there's something different about me) and what I've feared (there's no changing it). By the way, there may be ways of changing it. SSRI's and the like can alleviate depression and anxiety and make you a little more social....

Crearan, I feel such a connection to you. I have not been to this site in about 3 years, but the last time I visited, someone here helped me to get a job, a job I still have (although now reluctantly.) Since this site helped me before, I decided to come back. But this time to post something of a cry...

Cutting yourself with razors isn't an Asperger's trait. I've heard of people hitting themselves in the head during a meltdown, but cutting yourself is a whole other level. You're lucky you weren't involuntarily commited. It sounds like you need to work on how to cope with stress, and maybe be on som...

I heard that this would likely be happening when I was diagnosed with HFA a year and a half ago. The diagnosticians had already phased out the use of Asperger's Syndrome, using high-functioning autism instead. I never liked the name "Asperger's" anyway, for the obvious reason that it sounds funny an...

On tuesday, I received an email from them saying that they are experiencing high volumes of applications, and that positions will be granted on a first come, first serve basis. It had the option to provide proof of english proficiency, which I didn't because it seemed like a lot of trouble, and I wa...

It sounds interesting and the company seems legit, so I applied yesterday. Haven't heard back from them yet.

She is educated in acting and has been performing in improv and sketch comedy since 2004. Could someone with Asperger's do that? She is putting on a quirky, deadpan persona on talk shows for laughs. Good actors can be anyone they want.

"Customer: I'll pay for this chocolate candy (She was eating at the time.) Cashier: (Cheerfully as if joking) You have to. You have no choice. Customer: I like to eat chocolate. It keeps you from being mean. Cashier: (Unintelligible, but something conciliatory.)" What is the "coded message" from th...
