Sirens (but more so car horns and other loud, unexpected noises)
Styrofoam squeaking together
Things that have pitch that don't consistently hold pitch (such as a bad bagpipe player) |

I don't explicitly remember singing in kindergarten being a problem. The larger problem was that I would sit and hum to myself in all of my classes. My third grade teacher thought I wasn't paying attention and my parents got an earful for it. |

I remember learning to write cursive and gripping the pencil way too tightly. I'd give myself hand cramps trying too hard, and it still came out sub-par. I've since learned that I do better printing (for awhile it was all caps, now it is upper and lower case.) I still don't like writing or holding a... |

Whoa there. I wouldn't ever put Harry Potter into a comparison with Anne Rice. That's just me, though. |

The don probably went to see the movie with her kids, or because she wants to know what young people watch these days. But hey! No shame in saying: "What's that you're talking about?" or "I can't remember what 'Twilight' is. Care to remind me?" That's also more than adequate conversation, and nothi... |

The only reason I want a diagnosis is to be 100% certain that I have Asperger's so I can simply say "I have Asperger's" without vaguely feeling like I'm lying or using it as an excuse to myself or others. Your being 100% certain is, most likely, mutually exclusive of getting a diagnosis. Certainly ... |

I've always known that I had a sensitivity to sound, but I am only recently starting to suspect that I have a mild sensitivity to smells. It seems that I can detect smells that are farther away or fainter than most people would pick up on (although when I point it out to someone else, they notice to... |

Now, I am 27 and look old for my age. Do other people have experiences dealing with situations like this and do you think questions like this are appropriate? I don't know what the protocol is for something of this nature. Now I am in the older generation and we were brought up differently, there j... |

My childhood was wonderful. I loved going to school to learn, though the bullies did certainly make that more difficult. I never let them get me down, though, despite some pretty hard bullying. |

Music is simply transformative for me. In a world where I feel like a penguin on land, when I'm playing music I'm a penguin in the water. Since we're posting videos, here is one of my favorites. It's Louis Boudreault playing quebecois tunes during the height of the revival in the 70s. Amazing stuff.... |

It doesn't sound like aspergers to me at all, it seems more like a developmental disorder... Asperger Syndrome IS a developmental disorder, so I'm not sure what you are getting at... Asking for a hug too, doesn't sound like something an aspergers person would do. It all depends, I'd say. While many... |

Great show! I particularly like the unedited version. Reading over the comments, it always amazes me how so many people view such a positive and uplifting interview negatively... such as the person who thought it was a "waste of time." I guess some people don't want to (or can't) see the positive si... |

Screech from Saved By The Bell.. .because we both have big curly hair.
I still get this. Some punks at a pub last week thought they were being clever and original. It's easiest just to ignore them. |
