KingdomofRats, feel free to skip any items you wish. Alternately, you can ask for clarification on whatever you don't understand and I will do my best to put it in different words. |

And, yes, I mean for you to actually complete the questionnaire. You can do so in this thread if you'd rather keep your writing on this site: 1. How old are you? 2. What is your sex? 3. What is your occupation (or, if you are a student, area of study)? 4. How old were you when you realized you had a... |

In other words, is your ability to visualize compromised in some way? If so, would you mind completing the following questionnaire? http://icantvisualize.wordpress.com/2013/06/18/kylehs-questionnaire/ Yes, I know that no one has done it yet. It was just published last night. Come on, people--I know ... |

I haven't kept up with this thread since the last time I posted to it, but I figured I'd share this link to an article on a show about Adam that's airing today: http://www.ctnow.com/news/connecticut/newtown-sandy-hook-school-shooting/hc-raising-adam-lanza-20130217,0,4325586,full.story That article a... |

Bumping this thread on account of the outstanding piece on Amy that ran in the New Yorker recently. Reading this article, it was abundantly clear to me that Amy has Asperger's. I did a quick Google search and found this thread full of people who, of course, deny this up and down, despite the fact th... |

I could've sworn I already made a post to this effect, but I can't find it now, so...I'm going to assume that MrXxx won't be replying to me again. I think this is really disappointing. I put a lot of time and effort into making my feelings and ideas understood/understandable and MrXxx never even re... |

I am unable to drive with one exception--I can drive on a thruway (or any other long, straight stretch of road) just fine, as doing so is quite simple...if you've passed one vehicle, you've passed them all. There's no trying to figure out what should happen at intersections or whether or not a stree... |

This is a fun thread. All other things being equal, it is not a bad picture at all. But in the context of this website...I dunno, if the goal here is to reassure ourselves that we aren't a bunch of detached maniacs, perhaps we should circulate a different image of our leader...maybe something with a... |

The rest is in response to Poke's post here in this thread: http://www.wrongplanet.net/postp5121246.html&highlight=#5121246 From an entirely personal perspective, and construct all your own, you've managed to, for all practical purposes, paint the vast majority of users on this site as lower in... |

I'm sorry, is the point here something like, this shooting had nothing to do with the fact that the shooter was autistic? You realize that's absurd, right? You are entitled to your opinion, no matter how wrong it is. And you are very wrong. It is not absurd. It's a fact supported by the M.E. invest... |

Your analogy is flawed: A major part of the body missing is not equivalent to an internal organ having an atypical mode of operation. I'm not quite sure how to respond to this for a few reasons. First, "major body part" and "internal organ" aren't mutually exclusive, rather, they coincide quite fre... |

So how come that in reality autism spectrum conditions are seen as a disorder or defect? My opinion: Because NT is the norm standard and Aspies therefore the "outcasts". But it's not just some coincidence. As I have said before on this forum, the norm is what it is for a reason. I think this is pre... |
