Cool, sounds like it isn't such a big deal after all. 8) I guess I was kind of worrying that the inevitable deterioration of social skills and pressure management would be too unfavorable to prefer the merits of it. However, too much social contact does the same to me so it's all just equilibrium I ...

Lately I've grown very apathetic to social situations. If someone is not already a friend of mine, I really just can't care anymore. And even then, with the few people I really cherish, I'm finding it harder than usual to communicate. This is happening for every form of communication. Forums and soc...

I don't feel like writing a synopsis for these, but here are a couple that I think would be more appreciated by someone on the spectrum:

TV series:
Freaks and Geeks
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Densha Otoko

Movies:
Ben X
Adaptation
Pi

I'll update if I can think of any more.

Despite the attitude towards swearing, I've always couldn't understand why it was such a bad thing. It's an expression, it doesn't hurt or warp anyone, and it feels good to do it. Besides, blowing it up to a big deal is what gets kids using it excessively. Recently, it has been proven to relieve pai...

Most of my behavior would be better described as 'amplified'. Of course I've picked up many behaviors through mimicry, and used that as I felt appropriate (the most 'fake' part of my behavior, per se, but even that comes natural). My thoughts and actions are for the most part, my own, but I try to r...

Now that you mention it, it isn't nearly as many as I thought (surely, A+/A+a was listed almost a dozen times alone), but I counted each I thought was unique and still came up with 16. No addresses listed in it doesn't help either. Still don't know how much that actually is, but still. :? There is a...

Thanks for the useful information, Horsey! I think I will go with that lock set, since I never have done lockpicking before, and doesn't seem to be a big investment for such a purpose. I'm sure I'll love it, though. I added lockpicking101 to my bookmarks... awesome site. 8) One topic kind of scared ...

Wow, I've been wanting to become a locksmith for some time, but haven't had the money to get the learning tools yet. I thought that would be the perfect, fun skill to learn to start my own small business. :D Do you think you could help me out, Coadunate? I was thinking about getting (this set) here....

I'm 20, from Knoxville, TN. Music, movies, video games, art, and just drinking and hanging out are my favorite activities, but anything is pretty much cool. I've never hung out with someone that was on the spectrum, and would really like to. PM me if you're in the area. :D

I bet no one remembers me, lol. I'll come here if I'm feeling down, which is actually often caused by something that could stem from aspie traits. Actually, in that case, I should have been on here a lot since the past month has been a lot of family-heavy events, which stress me out to no end. Also ...

I only fit in with my friends. If I lose them, there's no doubt in my mind it will take years to to fit in anywhere if I can.

It's more of a comfort thing than being too odd, though.

Yeah. Most of us mine as well admit we're regressing to a fantasy world when we do this. Especially since it *always* goes pretty well in rehearsal.
