Wow, I wish I had gone to your school. I wouldn't be sitting here with this problem now, I don't think. I've got some resources close to me that have offered to help (and sit down with me) after I've put out the SOS about this problem. I totally agree that I'm going to need to write better as I get ...

People in this state were expected to have done this in high school. I'm not from the area, and when I entered high school (ie moved here the day before high school started), I had never even heard the term thesis before. I don't think I wrote a single paper all through high school! I was so far beh...

I'm guessing.... essay? If so, these links might help. CLICK! CLICK! These are things they should be teaching you in English Comp I. If you're just starting back to school, you need to take English Comp first. If you cannot think and then write about those thoughts effectively, you're not going to ...

Is one supposed to be familiar with writing theses and in the so-called "classical argument" form in college? I'm having a b***h of a time because I'm very familiar with either (I've written one thesis in my life, and never have written a "classical argument.")

Back to my previous statement, yes I do think it is necessary and relevant because I don't want him thinking that I'm interested in him merely because I'm posting information on here. I try to make it pretty clear to some guys early on that I am not interested in them since I often tend to make the...

It is certainly possible for you to stay home, but a better question that you should ask yourself is why you really want to? A large part of the desire to do this is due to my father spending almost his entire day at work, and not getting enough time to spend with him. He was so focused on being a ...

Original Poster, if you think you'd be good with kids, but not that great at being a consistent income-provider, why not be a house dad? How would one advertise this without significantly narrowing down the pool of women out there (a pool that seems awfully small as it is)? I'd totally be down with...

Not to mention the fact that he feels his disabilities are going to greatly impair his ability to look after a child and basically be a father figure. Not exactly. I think I could do well as a parent, just not so much as a financial provider. I know the two are kinda intertwined, but I've been told...

You're not exactly my type and a bit over my age limit (I'm only 25) but looking at you as a "big brother" of sorts I'll give you some advice on the ladies...since I am one myself and have been around all types and seen just about every play in the book. Rule number one: just try and make her feel ...

Don't give up hope! I got married and had a baby at 38. I was beginning to lose hope, too. I was lucky enough to find someone who understands me and let's me be myself. Good luck! I'm not giving up hope totally, but trying to prepare myself if that window closes on me. P.S. Born and raised in Madis...

Yeah it is hard to start talking to someone you don't know out of the blue. I find it impossible. I used to make attempts at it when I was younger, but always seemed to run into the ones that weren't available or weren't at all interested. I suppose it is easier when you know someone is giving you ...

I don't understand why you feel like you have to support a wife and children. Why can't you both support a household? I think this might be one of the more unrealistic parts of your "plan". I'm 36 and haven't ever fully supported myself, so I can't even say I'd be able to manage a 50/50 split of a ...

That's the thing. Eye contact is so simple.

It's a reflex that I can't stop. If I don't know someone at all, I immediately look away if they notice that I'm looking at them. If I don't know someone very well, it's still difficult to look them in the eye.

You! I remember you ! You were one of those very optimist, mature and hopeful rare users. Damn, you are even handsome (no homo!). I thought you were doing fine. At least this was my impression about you. You've demotivated me and ruined my last-minutes-before-bed with this thread! Thank you! If you...

As far none verbal communication as a guy you just have to make the chick your talking with This is the point I'm having trouble reaching, simply getting to the point of talking to someone. If I'm having troubles with this , then marriage & kids is putting the cart before the horse (like a coun...
