I don't care for *anybody* in my yard. I live next to a trail that is a useful shortcut from Point A to Point B. People have to use my driveway to get to it. This does not bother me, but if I see people just hanging out, I'm unhappy. Adults should keep their beer cans and cigarette butts to themselv...

Thanks, guys.

Meow101, that's very interesting. I also have required a large increase in my ADHD drugs.

I just can't believe how slow recovery is, and how many steps backward there are. This is more serious than I ever thought a concussion could be.

Thanks, you two.

It's been five months. I really thought I'd be "all better" long before this.

I appreciate the encouragement.

.. If I have a good list (and boy, do I make good lists) and can get in and get out, I'm fine. But without being so purposeful, I end up sort of wandering around unhappily, and then I get stuck. Do you know what it is about the experience that makes you unhappy? Do you think the stuckness comes fro...

Hello all. Here I am with my whopping 200 posts saying, "Need a little help here." So, in advance, thanks for listening. I'll try to keep it short. Well, sort of short. The background: This part could go on forever, but suffice it to say that my story is made up of parts of your stories. There's lot...

I've taken probably all the stimulants (not at the same time...) with varying degrees of success over the years for my ADHD. Adderall wasn't one I was on for very long, as good old "Vitamin R" seems to be the most effective for me. Problem is, I "burn through it" very fast. Enter Concerta. Problem N...

I get 'stuck', and the longer I'm stuck, the more miserable I get. Typically it happens in a place with too much stimulation, like the grocery store or (help! what am I doing here?) the shopping mall. If I have a good list (and boy, do I make good lists) and can get in and get out, I'm fine. But wit...

I went to Disneyland when I was six, and Disney World when I was 8, so I've got your son bracketed. While I loved the rides, especially ones that involved zooming around in the dark (ok, I'm really old and Space Mountain was really new), the whole experience was overwhelming and very difficult for m...

You never know how many E-FrameZenderblasts there might be out there. Maybe you could be E-FrameZenderblast904571.

That was a joke. But it wasn't funny.

Yensid, great post. You have described it all too well.

I send a good wish your direction. Or, if you like this better, a virtual bottle of Pristiq. :P

Good grief. You WANT to go to a psych ward? You're nuts. Go.

There are other, better, cheaper, saner options. Find them.

Arminius, it sounds like you're doing basically the right things by getting away, exercising, etc. I also had a very hard time in college with the dorm, dining hall, library, and chapel services. Everywhere I went on campus, there were just too many people! The thing that helped absolutely the most ...

Since I'm not a cutter, I know I can't really identify with what you're going through, so excuse me if this is totally stupid or unsympathetic or completely irrelevant. I don't cut myself, but I like to pick scabs. If there aren't any scabs, I am tempted to make some... but of course that would invo...

Sigh. I'm with you. Probably riding my unicycle to work twice during my first week was not a good thing. Then again, maybe it's just as well they found out right away that I'm a little... odd. You can't undo reputation, but it sounds like so far this has been reasonably harmless, and you can expand ...
