Yes. Well actually I've been on a gradual path to friendlessness for many years, being naturally avoidant of socialising in general, then starting to work from home so no workmates, then having a kid so all free time disappearing! But I did used to go to a writing group before covid that broke up a...

I am dealing with this same issue since the pandemic. I am not sure what it is, but I feel disconnected from people including friends. Something has changed and I cannot put my finger on it. I met a friend within the last couple of years that I "clicked" with on the first meeting. Sadly, I...

Is anyone else having issues with meeting friends since the Covid-19 pandemic? Do you also feel more disconnected from people? I am pretty active in my community and it feels like I am struggling to meet close friends since the pandemic. I also feel kind of disconnected from people. While I have met...

I just go along to get along in these situations if they say hi. You don't have to do more than waive and beyond that a hello and a moment or two of small talk will get them off your back.

I met a friend (27 yo) in the last couple of years through church in which I am getting mixed signals about. Some of it could be his autism and other issues (anxiety, bipolar?, depression, etc). Does this person like me and is there a friendship there going forward? What is odd is to most everybody ...

I can think of a handful of people that I have known that have killed themselves. My brother's best friend did it 25 years ago, my best friend's brother did it about 10 years ago. I have also had a couple of high school classmates that have taken their lives. Everyone other than the brother of my fr...

It is a snide way of a person telling you "I don't want to hear about it anymore." I never understand why people use the phrase "nobody cares", when it is just that person doesn't care about the subject at hand. Why don't people say "I don't care" instead?

One thing that I am currently working on with my Asperger's is the fact that I have a tendency to ruminate and obsess over bad events that have happened in my life in the past. I have noticed that these ruminations and obsessions can go on for many years. They have usually been lessened by another n...

Are there any activists who have an autism or Asperger's diagnosis. I am not just meaning activists FOR autism issues, but activists in all areas of politics. This would include for example, environmental or economic activists. In my 20 year history of being involved in politics, I have run into ver...

Is it normal for someone who is having a psychotic episode to disappear from society? Is it also normal for someone having these issues to cut off all contact with their friends, including via phone, email and letter? What are the causes of this? Lastly, what would be the best way to contact a perso...

I am not sure if this conversation is germane to just schizophrenia, bipolar and other mental disorders. I was given a video recently of my late friend giving a talk at the church we both attended. He had a schizophrenia diagnosis, but also acted very autistic in nature (I know, positive/negative sy...

This is one of the things that I am constantly told to do to meet people, but it hasn't worked out for me. I have a number of friends that are older than ...
