I am usually overformal in my interactions to the point where I feel I seem stiff and wooden. But when I try to drop the formalities I become rather blunt and rude. It seems that I don't know how to find a comfortable middle between the two.

I'm not comfortable with labelling people, but it would worried me in terms of services, support, therapy etc if everyone on the spectrum was labelled as just autistic. I am able to live independently and hold down a full-time job therefore my needs are extremely different to someone who can't do ei...

I'm one of those types who only goes to church on rare occasions like Christmas, Easter, or some family obligation such as a wedding, funeral, or christening. I only put a religious preference on Facebook because agnostics and atheists are judged negatively. If someone is going to dislike me becaus...

Look at your calendar every day. I live by my calendar as well as writing down To Do notes everything I need to...

I still haven't told my parents about my diagnosis. I was given the perfect opportunity to do some when my mother describe her fathers' personality in an almost textbook description of AS, but I totally chicken out. I just really don't know which is the best way to tell them something which they wil...

God made a rule that he would not interfere with free will, man chooses to sin. Im sure God does not approve of hilters actions, but the earth is satans domain. satan loves to cause trouble up here, and that will continue until judgement day. So why, if God chooses not to interfere with free will &...

Brennan, if you think you're up for the task and have adequately researched where you'd like to go, you should definitely give it a try. It's certainly possible to find things like English-teaching jobs in different places or if you have a bit of cash on hand, you could always find a country or mor...

When I was in grade school, my handwriting (print) was so bad that I failed handwriting in the 4th grade and had to take remedial classes. When it came to learning cursive, it just got worse. Today, I can write very neatly if I sit and concentrate on forming each letter but this way of writing is ex...

I went to a therapist who specialized in Aspergers. He diagnosed me and then completely ignored my AS diagnosis and wanted to blame all my problems on my relationship with my mother (it wasn't a good one when I was growing up). It was a complete waste of time and he provided no helpful tips for deal...

Considering communicating via text is my preferred method of communication I would be fine not seeing anyone face to face for quite some time. However, not having my dogs around would mean I would feel lonely within hours. The house feels very empty when they aren't there.

people DO need authority, people are"modifying their moral code" in dangerous ways. look at abortion! if murder is damaging to a species, why is ok to kill viable members of that species? So we should do things like they did in the times of the Bible shall we, have the unwanted kid and then bash it...

Weekends are my downtimes to recover from the week. If I do too much on the weekend, I go back to work completely stressed out. Usually my weekends consist of going to marital arts training, grocery shopping, housework and then doing as little as humanly possible.
