Hello, guys and girls. I'm looking for some insight - or at least to get something off my chest. For many years I suffered from low self esteem. You know the feeling. Seeing everyone getting on with their lives, finishing their education, finding love, getting a good job. Feeling like like a legless...

Gonna agree with everyone who said Wellbutrin. I've been on Effexor, Lexapro , Cipralex. Never gonna try SRI or SSRI medication again. Had loss of sex drive, leg cramps, dry mouth, trouble sleeping. Effexor helped alot on my anxiety and made me alot more outgoing - made me feel "high" and very alert...

Telling people that you're fine
isn't compulsive lying, everyone does that.

Why not? Most of my problems come from living in a society designed by and for NTs. I think an AS-only society would do just fine. If you think your life is bad is bad with NTs, imagine your life without them. "Normal" people provide a "safety net" and a structure for people with disabilities - it ...

It's a genetic-disorder. Aspergers IS a handicap, it's hardly an evolutionary advantage.
Society with only aspies would not function very well, for obvious reasons.
The "more intelligent"-thing is a myth. We have many intellectual-impairments.
I'm sorry to rain on your parade.

Faces are the most important physical feature, imo. Everything else I can effectively ignore (except for really extreme cases of like, obesity for instance). Otherwise, actually liking the person is a plus for me. ;B That's pretty shallow... We're hardwired, genetically programmed to be attracted s...

13... :? I'm not very empathic, I don't feel remorse. The reason I score so low is because of AS and anxiety. Like I'm a very selfish person, but I'm not a "doer" or practice active egoism. I don't go out of my way to be cruel to others and I don't take what's not mine. I think thats why people with...

The thing about compulsive liars is that everyone who knows them don't believe anything they say and the liars don't realize that. They are not generally confronted about it because that's not effective. Discounting what they say works well enough. I lie very well See the above statement. Yes, I am...

I think we fail to see when people like us because we don't read non-verbal cues well and thus we don't "connect". When we fail to return friendly intentions people might assume that we dont like them. People want to be liked, they don't necessarily hate not being liked, but they won't pursue with i...

A former female friend really was spot on (I used to help her deal with some emotional stuff). She said that I was more insightful than anyone she had ever met in what I expressed through words. But she also remarked on how I seemed out of touch with humanity. That kinda made me sad, because it's so...

My HFA little girl has played with her hair since she was a baby - playing with hair is not flirting! Perhaps in the NT world but I doubt in the Aspie world (not unless it's a stim). A beautiful AS girl who is shy and nerdy might appeal for getting laid, but not necessarily for long-term relationsh...

Girls have a dating advantage over guys. And we're talking NTs. Some guys have a huge dating advantage - we're talking the alpha males (often mixed up with "the bad guys"). Fact: about 20% of men have all the "fun". Then girls become less attractive as they age and becomes less appealing to the "pla...

I'm ambidextrous if it's of any relevance Visual.. creative.. global.. sees the "big picture" .uses feeling... imaginative.. symbol and image orientated .. living ...
