I find Black Metal to be fairly dull. I find death to be more interesting, but I don't really like extreme metal. There is this one symphonic black metal piece that I like though. I agree with that sentiment for a lot of bands, but actually I like depressive black metal for that exact same reason. ...

Just so you know, the four chords are I-V-vi-IV. At one point they switch it to start at the vi, but it's the same order.

Just for reference, a key change sounds very distinct.

This is the first song that popped into my mind that has one. The key change is at 5:05. It's actually quite a drastic shift...

I'm a bass in choir. I can sing, provided it's mostly below middle C. And as for the drama I sense in the preceding comments, I'm here to tell you that ANYONE can sing. You just have to find out how. There are a lot of vocal trainers out there who would be more than happy to analyze your vocal qual...

I dunno...I don't really like getting too technical with genres. I mean, we could say that this is deathcore... just cause it has high screams and low growls. But it's clearly not, it just doesn't have that vibe. Deathcore isn't just a co...

Not an AS, but I do have non-hyperactive A.D.D. I listen to bands like Immolation, Nile, Emperor, Sodom, Kreator, Demolition Hammer, Death, etc. Except for Emperor, I'm not big on norwegian black metal, but will listen to it when in the mood.

This sounds strange, but in my school I have a reputation for smoking weed, even though I've never touched it. Does anyone else get this a lot? :?

I guess I like some grindcore. I'm more of a straight death metal person. What I don't like is whatever "Last Days of Humanity" is. I don't know exactly what it is but it's absolutely horrible. Sounds like they replaced guitars with leaking scuba tanks. But at any rate, I like Carcass, Napalm Death,...

I agree too. I just got done with a music theory course in high school, based on classical elements. I could immediately point out the choir kids (as opposed to the band kids or those who were involved in neither) because they seemed to be the "musical high society." Not only did they always think t...

I dunno if I have a favorite chord, but I definitely have favorite chord progressions and scales. For instance, I major to IV minor. Also I major to VII minor where the VII root is based on the minor scale. So for instance, D major to C minor. Both are based on an egyptian-style scale I know. But as...

Well, as far as Hypnosia goes, They aren't around anymore. They only had time to release one full length. Which is really a shame because they had a lot of potential. And Destroyer 666 reminds me...have you guys heard Witchaven or Trench Hell? Both great bands along the black/thrash line. h...

I'm not affiliated with any corrupt governmental regimes whatsoever.
But dammit, they could make some catchy songs.

Und Genossenes bleiben dabei.

I dont really listen to electronic music much. However, I love ambient and dark ambient styles of music. Lustmord, Kerovnian, Stars of the Lid, etc. I will warn you, this is kinda creepy. I’m a huge fan of black metal, death metal and thrash bands that are forerunners to these sub-genres or thrashy bands that might be considered early extreme metal hybrids. I like most of the bands you’ve mentioned and really need to check out a couple myself (I’m not at all familiar with Legion of ...

I think the gong at the end is supposed to signify the death of the last star in the universe. Not just the world.
