I got diagnosed autistic at 21 after misdiagnoses of schizophrenia starting at 16, when I was forced to be evaluated before being privately tutored (my father HATED psychiatry and psychologists/psychiatrists because his younger brother was experimented on as a young child in the 60's). I was accepte...

Fluttershy!! ! <3 I am 32 years old, diagnosed on autism spectrum (HFA/"severe" Asperger's) with PTSD/C-PTSD due to abusive and crazy alcoholic father mainly, but delayed onset when I had a stalker in college. I have severe Panic Disorder, which is my biggest issue now, and GAD to a lesser...

I have severe PTSD, but while I was abused partly due to being autistic, most of the PTSD is due to extremely abnormal circumstances (captivity, attempted murder, etc. by my father).

Really alcoholic drinks taste (and smell) terrible. It feels like poison. Mildly alcoholic white wine I have learned to stomach. I won't drink anything carbonated, so that eliminates some alcoholic drinks, too -- carbonation causes me pain. Really alcoholic drinks taste (and smell) terrible. It feel...

This is actually me (Not my friend, MrBear, who was last logged in on my computer): I am fine with collaboration as long as people are also responsible and cooperative and nice. I can even be a leader, such as an admin for a large online group, as long as I don't have to be "the bad guy." ...

This is actually me: I am fine with collaboration as long as people are also responsible and cooperative and nice. I can even be a leader, such as an admin for a large online group, as long as I don't have to be "the bad guy." I find that very difficult. I try hard to please everyone.

FYI: The "MrBear" post was me -- that was my autistic male friend having been last to log in on my computer :P No worries! 13.5 years old. While I knew to expect it, I was in an earlier stage of puberty than I think is common to start menstruation and I definitely mentally wasn't ready for...

Hi! I hope this is the right place to post this! I have a friend trying to join and it says all her emails are in use and when she clicks to try to log in (like to recover a password) she doesn't get an email. So she doesn't know what to do. She'd really like to connect to other autistics. No idea w...

I had disordered eating since around age 11 or 12 and it eventually developed into anorexia and I went to the hospital for it. I have permanent digestive problems from being fully anorexic for about 4 years. I went on a medication called Zyprexa to help me start eating again, but I've stayed on it f...

Yes, and they tend to be sensitive, introspective people who share some kind of interest with me. Some are also autistic, but others aren't at all.

I have a lot of these thought patterns and I'm working on improving them. I have a lot of anxiety and PTSD with some Borderline PD traits. Maybe some of these thought patterns are more common in autistic people than with the general population, but I seem them more as changeable personal flaws in th...

Dresses comfortably due to sensory issues and practicality Sock seams and tags sometimes bother me, but I wear fairly fashionable clothes and have interest in clothes. Will not spend much time on grooming and hair. Hairstyles usually have to be 'wash and wear'. Can be quite happy not grooming at al...

I love wearing make up and buying new clothes. I like pastel colors and skirts and dresses, though I often wear jeans or corduroy pants. I love princesses and unicorns and things that get described as cute or pretty.

I wear make up every day. I try to keep it looking relatively natural, but I do wear liquid foundation, concealer under my eyes (I have "allergic shiners"), blush, mascara, and eyeliner daily. Sometimes I wouldn't wear make up if I wasn't going to leave the house, but I've found it helps my mood and...

I listen to songs or artists or albums over and over again. Sometimes it's just for a day, sometimes it's for weeks. I listened to my Tori Amos playlist on repeat every day for about a year and still sometimes listen to it.
