As her parent, she will mirror your behavior whether or not she has a neurological condition, especially communication skills. I would ask your doctor at what age children typically start forming social relationships with other children. 2 years is really too early to judge much, especially at that ... |

Here are some examples, a couple of years ago before he got diagnosed, he couldn't tolerate being alone, he was almost 4 years old. How many kids this age like being alone? A lot of the other stuff sounds like sensory issues. Do you have pets, or anything else that could be bothering him that might... |

A sociopath who wants a normal existence with a loving family, and solves crimes? Look up "sociopath" - compared with Dexter, it's hit-and-miss at best. "Psychopathy (pronounced /saɪˈkɒpəθi/[1][2]) is a personality disorder characterized by an abnormal lack of empathy combi... |

What fictional characters do you think would be on the autistic spectrum, had they really existed? I've thought of a couple, where it was never implied, but I thought so based on how they acted. Share your ideas, and a little bit what you think they could have been on the autistic spectrum. I cant t... |

I'm mad at Asperger's for that. I'm mad that it's making him sad, and making him feel bad. I'm mad cuz he's a great kid who feels like he's a loser and somehow that's just got to be my fault. Even if I haven't figured out how yet. I was in occupational therapy and a smaller classrooms by his age. T... |

Please, PLEASE do not give up on teaching your children a skill just because it seems difficult. I know that's not really the case here, but that is what can end up happ... |

That's one of those regular social things I can not really understand. If I had that feeling, I seriously could not identify it. I want a boyfriend, and explore all of that. Yet, I never came to the conclusion "I need another person for the sake of having one". Just like making new friends, it never... |
