It says "One Does Not Simply Adapt Sondheim"... it refers to my wishes to adapt his movie "Evening Primrose" into a full scale stage musical. He would likely say no.

I've probably asked this question on the forums before, but it's been a few years and I'm wondering if there are any other people on this forum who enjoy and are good at acting? I've loved theatre since I was very small. I've been formally diagnosed with Aspergers but I question the diagnosis a lot,...

I love Homeland. It's the most relateable television example of bipolar disorder for me.

I'm an actor-turned-playwright. I adore plays. I've been the music director/composer/live pianist for five different plays in the past two years, and a couple of plays that I've written have been performed. I want to write theatre for a living. Favourite Shakespeare play is Midsummer Night's Dream, ...

Into The Woods was my favourite musical as a teenager. I had the VHS of the staged version with Bernadette Peters and I watched it, back to back, multiple times a day. I haven't made it through the Disney film yet, I started watching it, but I get annoyed when things diverge from the original stagin...

I've never been able to change a special interest but they definitely cycle for me, they don't stay the same. So I either wait it out for the next one to come along, or as arielhawksquill has mentioned, attempt to manage my time so that I'm not caught up in it too much. Sometimes it's hard to balanc...

So today I participated in a study by the psych department of my university. My motivation was completely monetary, they were going to pay me $11 an hour. It was about synesthesia. I know a tiny bit about synesthesia. I was like "it's those people who see numbers as colours, right?" I was ...

I like the myers briggs test. I've taken it officially a few times for studies. My most recent test came out ESFP. The extroversion is only mildly expressed. The test I took about three years ago came out as Introvert but it was also mildly expressed. I consider myself and Ambivert. What's interesti...

I think everything's helping until my psychiatrist reminds me that I end up in the hospital at least once a year. But Seroquel is the only thing I've taken consistently for 6 years so I guess it's the most helpful. Abilify is currently helping a lot too. Least helpful? Lithium gave me kidney damage....

I posted on TrueSelves maybe 3 or 4 years ago, but didn't stick for long because there wasn't a very big or vocal FTM crowd. I've never tried Laura's Playground. I used to post on Susan's Place but never ventured outside the FTM forum. So there are others with ASD. I don't think I ever announced mys...

I wasn't sure what to answer. It's not that I have trouble understanding what the other person is saying while making eye contact, it's more like I have trouble understanding what I should say in response while making eye contact. I can listen to someone for hours and make great eye contact. If you ...

Diagnosed a few years ago but questioning it. Some of those questions. Does ANYONE feel comfortable dating? "I have never been interested in what most of the people I know consider interesting." Well technically, most of the people I know are theatre people and theatre is my thing. And I got: Total:...

If you took the W in "answer", the H in "ghost", the extra A in "aardvark" and the T in "listen", you could keep saying WHAT but no one would ever hear you because the whole word would be silent.
