The thing I can't believe is your response to it. Unless I am much mistaken, I think that the intent was to say "I look horrible." If she tried to imitate Raymond from Rainman, and autistics in general for laughs, I think that that would be antagonistic and that would be different. I don't think wor...

not even your own?

Mine are usually the worst. They smell very sulfurous, but other people usually don't smell/comment on them.

i wonder if the auto-fart lovers also love the smell of automobile exhaust, at least from the old leaded-gas-fueled, non-emission-controlled cars? I did as a matter of fact. a fellow traveller 8) i liked best the exhaust of leaded gas cars that ran too rich, like hotrods of old. they had a uniquely...

I have told others that I do not want to be celebrated. It is somewhat depressing to reflect on life when the past few years have not been ideal. Generally, I have no inclination to celebrate it.

Well I guess they can't have an aspie soldier flipping out when action needs to be taken. This, however, does not take into account the benefit Aspie soldiers could provide, being more detail-oriented, among other things.

If have an obsession with, say WWII, then the non-WWII things they talk about will be boring by comparison. Likewise if you talk about nothing other than WWII, then you will seem boring to them.

I'm not sure what Alexa stats have to do with it. I was referring to the gender disparity in Asperger's diagnoses. Do you mean that because women 18-24 visit this online community, they would want to live in an aspie community? Well if more women than men are on this site, then surely there is a ne...

"...a community where aspies just gather together?" I found that funny. I'm not sure how much togetherness we'd see. Socializing with other aspies might be easier, it's hard to imagine since I've only met two others. Though I did get along well with both. I envisioned an isolated community when I r...

So there'd be a community of people that would never look each other in the eye or never talk one on one because of fear of starting a conversation? 8O A conversation would be something like this. "Hey" "Hey" "How's it going" "Fine, you?" "Good" **AWKWARD SILENCE...** "I gotta go now, see ya later"...

Not to burst your bubble or anything, But "Life" really is a bubble. Only for those who live in a shallow world and are caught up in the cogs of society and the mundane. I think HB has a point that it could be xenophobic, unless the community was adjacent to an average sized town. I used to drive b...

Doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun. Forming a softball team would be out and any community picnic would result in mass perseverating. It all depends on where they are on the spectrum -- I don't see why it has to result in mass perseverating. I think the idea (jc6chan correct me if I'm wrong) is ...

Is this meant for Low-functioning autistics? Unless I am much mistaken, Aspies can understand sentences longer than 5 words. I'm curious to learn new words, and I can understand someone who speaks fast, as long as they don't mumble. It just looks like he's dumbing it down unnecessarily-- maybe its n...

This community is a few miles along the road from me, I shop for my bread and groceries here. Newton Dee Community This is for learning differences in general, not for aspies specifically. That`s right but I think the ethos of that place would be a good foundation for an aspie community. I guess I ...

I think the result of this would be possible future segregation, so it's a bad idea. Living in an assisted home if needed is completely different than having a whole community of people. Aspies are already segregated in a way because most of em are introverted & keep to themselves I agree. Neur...
