I've always felt like I was 'driven'. I never make conscious decisions. I do everything my subconscious drives me to do. If I need to do something, I need to spend time preparing my subconscious for it, or I might get all confused and disorganized. I'm not sure if this is just me, or if most Autist... |

I probably don't have autism because I can't relate to Temple Grandin at all. I don't like animals all that much and I don't think in pictures. I also don't have sensory issues like she does. I don't dislike people like she did when she was younger. I have zero visual ability, I can't draw to save ... |

It's only about 2 months since I twigged that I have AS or HFA. I've travelled a million miles since then in understanding what it means, and how it affects me, and have many more to go. Lately I've been thinking of my dvds and all the books I collected over the last 20 years and wondering how many... |

Well, mine is nearly zilch. I was just getting my work records/references for applying for a Wendy's of all places. Lost my cool (no one else was around - I live alone). The papers were in my shirt. Does anyone else have a terrible time with short-term memory? Is this an ADD thing? An Aspie thing? ... |

Religion working together with science - Many religions mix with science the way water does with oil. Religion is more closely associated with opera, theater, entertaining storytelling, Vaudeville, and Saturday morning cartoons than science (my view). |

A Modest Request (Religion as child abuse?) - Some European countries view religious education as child abuse (year 2011). Today, it's easy to understand why some countries would view forced religious brainwashing as child abuse (my view). |

US Supreme Court says Westboro Baptist is one true Church - The USA Supreme Court is clearly endorsing the Westboro Baptist Church dogma/doctrine as USA law (2011). I'm one of those extra verbal Aspies. I think in words for the most part.
