I could have decided to become a scientist forty years ago. I was a semi-finalist in the Westinghouse Science Talent Seach and a top science student at a prep school. I got 5s on BC Calculus and Physics. But, I also figured out there were very few science jobs and a ton of people competing for those...

My father retired at sixty. He had several investment properties so, even though mortgage wasn't paid off, was well-off with a nice pension.

I learned to play golf just before I retired at 59. I have a paid up house with beautiful gardens and a nice investment portfolio.

Do you have a job right now?
It is hard to get a job if you don't have one.
I know a lady with excellent qualifications that took an entry level data entry job after raising some kids.
She is now one of the top ten employees in pay.

I just had an idea today! How about data migration from an old website to a new one! There may not be a simple way for a business to get their old content transferred to a new one. Someone could do that from home! There may be hundreds of thousands of links and documents to move. Somone with autism ...

Welcome! I told my wife I as transgender before we got married but we still got together for 15 years until she passed from ALS. She was convinced I had autism but these days I think it is because my hard wired body language is female rather than male. The mismatch is gone now that I present female!...

Part of the confusion is conflating gender with sexuality.
It may be less confusing to separate the two.

Most folks agree that a woman can be attracted to men. Heterosexual.
Woman can be attracted to other women. Lesbian.
Woman can be attracted to both men and women. Bisexual.

I have a Hello Kitty pair of scissors that I use all the time for cutting up food. I also have Hellow Kitty two surfboard clips that I used when I had cats. They would pull towels off the racks so I bought the clips to make it harder for them to do that! That is all I can remember. I have a lot of s...

Like many here, I often found it awkward to socialize for decades. But, I discovered when I changed my gender presentation from male to female, I could do things automatically and the other person would respond without confusion. Could I have been learning the wrong gender clues? Maybe my appearance...
