Part of the confusion is conflating gender with sexuality.
It may be less confusing to separate the two.

Most folks agree that a woman can be attracted to men. Heterosexual.
Woman can be attracted to other women. Lesbian.
Woman can be attracted to both men and women. Bisexual.

I have a Hello Kitty pair of scissors that I use all the time for cutting up food. I also have Hellow Kitty two surfboard clips that I used when I had cats. They would pull towels off the racks so I bought the clips to make it harder for them to do that! That is all I can remember. I have a lot of s...

Like many here, I often found it awkward to socialize for decades. But, I discovered when I changed my gender presentation from male to female, I could do things automatically and the other person would respond without confusion. Could I have been learning the wrong gender clues? Maybe my appearance...

I posit there is a hard wired friend or foe routine hard wired into humans. It is very useful to know whether someone you meet is a friend or foe without thinking about it. IFF Indentification Friend or Foe was developed during WW2 for aircraft. You don't want to shoot down your own airplanes. There...

An issue is having the proper print driver for your printer. I've recall having a Canon printer that didn't work for a while until they finally provided a driver for my semi-old operating system. Similarly, I have an old Nikon D70 camera. They have RAW software, but only for Win 10 and 11, so I boug...

I think dating sites only work for a few. They may be more useful if you are looking for something specific and are willing to start a long distance relationship and move to someplace new. Or live in a big city with a huge dating pool like Phiilly, Boston, or NYC. But not a smaller city like Hartfor...

That's the message of the ad. But the OP is asking about intonation. Or am I being too literal?

Yes, I was curious if people with autism are aware of speaking patterns used here.
Are they too obvious?
Just right?
What is intonation?

We just gave the agent who was representing us copies of some financial documents he han no trouble finding a lender on our behalf. It was like Oh, Wow, plenty of money. You know you can buy a bigger house. Just saying. Later on he said that if we wanted, we could park a boat in the driveway. No nas...

We do have hard wired social responses. Or at least most humans do. I've discovered that when I interact with other people, say in a store, I'll receive and respond social clues faster than I can realize that I have done that. It is over by the time I realize what I have done. I can process things q...
