Part of the confusion is conflating gender with sexuality.
It may be less confusing to separate the two.
Most folks agree that a woman can be attracted to men. Heterosexual.
Woman can be attracted to other women. Lesbian.
Woman can be attracted to both men and women. Bisexual. |

| Like many here, I often found it awkward to socialize for decades. But, I discovered when I changed my gender presentation from male to female, I could do things automatically and the other person would respond without confusion.
