I am 37 and I still usually get treated like a teenager. Half of my hair at the temples is already white, and I still get that. Dressed in my usual ensemble of man's T shirt, cargo pants and army boots, that is. Guessing biological sex in that case is absolutely random with me, which adds up to the ...

Yes, this happened on mine too. I did spend some time wondering why some people never get over it. It was the first and the last HS reunion for me.

Touching by my husband - will tolerate unless stressed, even mildly. Usually touching & talking at the same time will not be tolerated; Touching family members - would generally avoid but will tolerate the absolute minimum, may sometimes initiate contact (when I know I really must); Touching peo...

I put to good use almost all of my special Aspie knowledge. Trouble is, I can't resist showing off how much I know about things and that creeps people out.

I have suffered from anorexia nervosa, restrictive type, for over 10 years. I am much better now, though it is like being a sober alcoholic - you can very well refuse a drink but you can't have just one.

I think that this is best described as 'bipolar disorder with rapid cycling' - the latter being a course modifier. I have always liked books and, luckily, I get lots of reading on the job. Then I have good language skills but only in reading and in written expression so I do a lot of reading and writing in foreign languages in my work - luckily, it involves very little speaking. Also, I am good at talking 'at' p...

I used to be very much like that, now it is less pronounced but is still there. When I was little, I used to arrange the crayons in my drawing set in a specific manner so that every colour would make the transition to the next (e.g. yellow, orange, red, purple, blue, green) and then stare at it for ...

Me too. I do like having pockets in my clothes and I always carry stuff with me. It was much worse when I was younger but now I can manage with a pocket or two only. I often have to dress up for formal occasions and the fact that I'll have to carry only a miniature clutch with me is very disturbing.

Thanks for the link Dots. This sound is comforting for me. I work in a laboratory where the air conditioning machine produces the same kind of noise, I do like it and I get upset if it stops for some reason.

I've just realised I haven't spoken to anyone outside my immediate family (which consists of two people) since the first days of January. Even on the phone. I bet this would make most people unhappy - to put it mildly. But no, I am perfectly alright about it, and I only thought about it because next...

20 out of 24. Tut, tut, I though I'd do better. I knew I would be rubbish at the Far East languages - never had the chance to have a good look - so I failed every one of them.
Did the test again randomly shuffling the part I couldn't know and got 23 of of 24.

I hate litter equally at my place and outside. I even didn't have a real garbage bin for some years, so as not to have the garbage pile up. I collected the trash into small plastic bags and had them taken out at least once a day (now I have bins, but they are really small and have to be emptied freq...

I don't like sweets, actually, but I eat quite a lot of them when I work, as sugar plus caffeine is the quickest and the most effective way to jump-start my brain (I have ADHD as well). This actually goes only for pure brainwork, like reading with very high level of comprehension (like studying) or ...

My hair colour icould be best described as dark ashen blonde. I've been asked a couple of times what brand dye I use. Which is actually a stupid suggestion, my temples are going gray, if I dyed my hair, I'd have had these taken care of. Funny though, recently I've noticed that my hair colour is gett...
