[quote="Malisha"]A bad therapist is one of the worst things that can happen to you, but a good therapist can be one of the best. I have had some really horrible experiences with mental health professionals of all kids, since I have been in the American Mental Health System to one degree or... |

I'm uncomfortable with eye contact. I can't say it triggers fear or that it overwhelms me. I'm just uncomfortable. Then I talk so much with my eyes - people can read what I'm thinking and feeling, regardless of my body language and voice, just by looking in my eyes - that I don't like people knowin... |

I know of several aspies and have had both NT and aspie acquintances. Since NT out number aspies by about 100 to 1 (?) I would say that I have a much easier time with aspies even if I don't become close to them. NT's can be easy or very difficult for me to be around I almost feel vulunerable around ... |

I have had 5 therapists so far. It is frustrating when you really need something and they just don't get you. Like I am extremely sensitive and spiritual and if I really let it out they were probably think I am crazy when I am just really in tune with certain things that I have learned most people s... |

I have meltdowns a few times a month. I use to have them several times a week. I have found that after the meltdown I feel much better. It almost seems foreign to me as to why I was so upset to begin with. |

I think the OP is being silly but I'll take the bait. AS is massively underdiagnosed according to recent research by the NHS with each GP having between 1 and 9 undiagnosed adult patients (The NHS is a conservative organisation and wouldn't say so lightly.). It is much more common for people to hav... |

I would like to ask a question to NT's. I have a coworker who will make eye contact with everyone but me. She accused me once or twice of starring at her but I really don't think I was. Its as if she can unconsciously pick up my eye movement isnt quite normal? Can you pick up when someone is uncomfo... |

I am profoundly lonely and I don't know how to overcome this. I feel like I lack the connectedness with others that comes so naturally to people around me. There is just something I know is different and I have been recently dx so I don't have any answers. |

I have had mixed experiences with churches. The hardline demononations being the most destructive. I go to a more mainstream one now and it is much better. I don't fare as well as others in the social department but it is still much better for me there then elsewhere. |

I like st. johns wort the best. |

Can you elaborate on Moro and TLR? It just saves me from googling it. Sensory therapy will be a lifesaver for me. All my anxiety and meltdowns are caused by that. I don't really think all your AS traits will be cleared up once the sensory problems are fixed. Retained Moro: Hypersensitivity Hyper-re... |
