This is the current home page of the service. It is clearly incomplete. But I want the design and flow of the site to be clean from the very beginning. Autoloy.net Any feedback is appreciated. Before we start accepting clients, we are going to be building out the database and web pages for managing ...

Want an example of good design? Here you go. There's even a rainbow. Look at all the nice white space, the alignment and symmetry, the size of font and readability of the page. There's a lot on it, but it's not vomited all over the place. It has clear zones. . That's a pretty good design for a web ...

I am starting a service that will be hooking up clients to talented auties for short term freelance work. I have talked to an admin here and I have to be careful about not promoting a business and soliciting funds, so I can't at this point be very specific. The idea is to be something of a mash-up b...

If your parents are supportive, telling them about your suspicions might be helpful. But from your description, it seems they would be dismissive. Have you taken any of the self assessments available online? If you scored in the range for Asperger's then you have evidence that is more than simple op...

It would appear things haven't change much. That's a good thing. Judging from the activity and the posts I read, it's still a thriving and supportive community.

But if an admin doesn't contact me soon I'm going to have to "spam" The Working and Finding a Job forum about my project.

I used to post here frequently. But I got interested in other things so I dropped off the radar. I am currently working on a project to find freelance work for ASD adults. I want to post information about it but that would be sort of spammy. I sent email to the venerable Mr. Plank but never got a re...

Anti-depressants never worked very well for me. Webutrin, SSRI's or others did very little. My depression seemed to respond better to the situation. If things were "moving forward" and I felt I was making progress, I would be less depressed. When I felt stuck, the depression worsened. The more stuck...

Or you could just leave him alone? If his parents don't mind it really doesn't seem like it's any of your business. I don't enjoy kids in my class attempting to show me graphically disturbing porn videos, and yes, he tried to show them to other kids. Porn isn't allowed at school. This is an entirel...

Google "fidget to focus". Many people need to fidget with something to focus. It's so well known that in many classrooms kids are allowed fidgets. My daughter has floam to squish around. Heck, I've seen executive fidgets. Just make it a fidget that's not too annoying to others and have at it. Some ...

I'm not exactly trying not to stim. I just noticed recently that I the more successful I am at staying engaged in the conversation, the more obvious things like hand wringing becomes. Part of me thinks to hell with people. Just deal with it folks. But in a professional environment, it can have a neg...

I greatly prefer written communication. It can help the "snow job" aspect somewhat, in part because written language is more precise. I also think that written communication leaves a trail. I can go back and explicitly reference what someone stated. But verbal conversation is subject to selective me...

More seriously, I cannot work in sales or any such thing where negotiating is necessary. I am both too transparent and have no ability to know when someone is withholding information. I think this is related to Theory of Mind. I am transparent because I assume my knowledge is their knowledge and do ...
